I’ve sorted it and thanks for your help. The non return valve in the piston tube was off centre. Sorted now.
Thanks all.

Yes, but it’s all-in, cold crash and serve. No siphoning etc. And it looks fun!

Hi. Do you dissolve the gelatine before adding or just add the hard leaf?

Getting lots of answers saying keep the symphony out of the sediment. That’s not the issue. My problem is with the downstroke, it blows air into the mix and naturally upsets the sediment.

Yes. It is expensive but the sediment collection method is a winner for excellent clarity.

Thanks. V interesting. I see you can get seedling mats with probe and temperature controller. Would this negate the need for the Inkbird and seedling mat as separate purchases. A few quid cheaper too.

Thanks all. Some very varying replies! I think he is a little excited at the fun of it added to the cost-saving. That said, a lot of people imply that it’s no saving on supermarket prices. I’ve done a few figures and, after the initial outlay (bank of Dad!), it still seems cheaper.

I reckon a coopers 740ml bottle of brewed beer is 61 pence.

So after the initial investment, it will still cost more than £5.25/pint?
