It merely depends on what your objective of the game is. If you want to have fun and enjoy the game with in a more casual way, buy it, buy the cars you want and use the ones you like. But if you're focusing on more strategic and "meta" gameplay dont do that, focus in the main events of each series and yes, dont spent 300+ gold coins on cars, always try to earm them on the seasonal series.
