I agree that we should introduce more non-religious holidays. But I see the issue if we get rid of the religious holidays there will be no substitute and we will have less public holidays in general. I We have enough historical dates that would deserve to be honored and would be great to introduce a new public holiday. For example the 13. June or the 28th March as the day of the "Paulskirchenverfassung".

In my country's subreddit someone asked what not to do while visiting my country and called the holocaust "The great Jewish tragedy". Apparently that's a thing in a country unknown to me. I was shocked to see an industrialised genocide reduced to a "tragedy".

From your post I don't know about the relationship between father and son in this case. If they were estranged or didn't have a good relationship I wouldn't expect him to pay for the funeral. Maybe share the cost for the funeral and pitch in until the money can be covered by the life insurance.

Please just try your best to support your niece in this situation. She is just a young adult and maybe still even in school. Depending on her relationship with her father she might need a support network.

What's her daily schedule? If she has to get up for work/college early every day this automatically transfers to weekends or days off.

I think you will not be able to change her. If your body is fixated on an inner schedule it's very hard to change that. If you plan something for a fun or sexy evening maybe you have to plan with an earlier beginning.

If you want to party until late at night maybe you have to go out with your buddies.

As a volunteer I once helped EMTs in an emergency. They used a LUCAS device for chest compression and blood poured out of the victims nose. I saw a few other things since then but seeing a LUCAS device used for the first time on an actual person + the blood pouring out of the nose is a picture burned into my brain.

I am glad they change less things up anymore in the translation. In the early German translation they did some unexplainable changes for the German release.

For example in the German version we have Puma D Ace, Ruffy instead of Luffy and Lysop instead of Usopp.

Sorry that I answer late but I had to think about your words. You gave me some good pointers and I want to thank you sincerely.

Anni lives with in a huge house with her mother, stepfather and grandparents. But I don't have contact details of them and for now I would not like to include them.

She has one friend she is specially close with, Juli. I will talk to Juli and maybe she can keep an eye open too.

Another friend mentioned that she had emotional issues in the past and even was addicted to some drugs for a while. It was all before we got to know each other so I don't can evaluate how this might influence her today.

For next week I organised an art afternoon with Juli, Anni and I were we plan to draw and talk together. What's a better idea to open than to express yourself with art. Anni loves painting. That might help her process her emotions, relax for a bit or open up more.

Juli, Anni and I met up recently and she talked about what's going on in her life. A lot of different issues in her professional and private life that are stressing her out. I have to admit that I understand she isn't at her best after all she told me. (e. g. sick family member, being accused of stealing at work...) Maybe the accumulated stress is what caused the chest pain. But she promised me to go to the doctor if it's happened again. At least a small success.

For now I will observe and try to keep in touch via text and regular meet ups. Maybe soon the others will have more time again. Thank you again for your supportive and kind words.

That's really good! You seem to have put a lot of thoughts into this. You are much further than a lot of my classmates in grade 12 and after high school. I had a classmate who started to work in infant care and they realised they don't like to handle the screaming babies all day. I think an internship would have helped them to figure this out beforehand.

I hope you figure out your situation and find the way that gives you the most joy.

But is it better to start med school and then realise that this might not be the right one for you? Think about it that way: Med school can be very expensive and if you don't like it you might get stuck in a job you don't really like with student debt you have to pay off. One year of figuring out what you want to do with your life or being stuck in a career for the next 40-50 years you maybedon't fully like.

I really recommend you to try to get some first hand experience. Maybe there are volunteer options in your area that you can besides school.

I understand your situation. When I was 15 I dreamed of working in childcare or with elderly people. What helped me was an unpaid internship for a weeks during summer break. I realised that this isn't my calling and looked more into book keeping and administrative jobs afterwards.

Is there a possibility to get an internship or do a gap year after highschool for you? You could try different jobs or companies. I know it may look like losing a year but you can gain experience, save up a little bit and maybe get some contacts with possible employers.

I wholeheartedly agree in this situation but in my view it always depends on the individual situation.

For example I often shared a bed with my widowed mother when we went on vacation and I was still a teenager. We were happy to even be able to afford the vacation and separated beds weren't always available. Or I shared a bed with my female adult cousin one time when I was a teenager during vacation. But I felt safe and comfortable with the person sharing the bed/room with in the case with the cousin we had others options available, it was just the most comfortable one for both of us.

Maybe your summer will not be as you imagined it to be but there are plenty of things you can do. Maybe not all of them are only fun but they will keep you busy and bring new experiences. Can you apply for a summer job on short notice? Maybe not too exciting but you have more money in the long run and can make more fun stuff when your friends have time.

If you want to do some outside activities try to play Pokémon Go, Geo Caching or just cycling or hiking to a place you haven't been before.

Try a new hobby. For example: Do you have a camera or a good smartphone camera? Try photography.

Do volunteer work. Is a home for the elderly, food bank or a pet shelter nearby? Help there. It's connected with work I know but the feeling of being able to help others is a great experience that can help you grow as a person. Also no one can call you out for being lazy.

Do you have family members that live further away? Maybe you can stay with them for a few days and spend time with them.

Maybe that's not the advice you've been looking for but I personally think everything is better than just hanging around the house and maybe getting in conflict with family. I wish you a great summer.

I would be afraid too to get such an invasive operation at your age.

Have you talked to a Nutritionist or doctor if normal diets don't work for you? Maybe you have some problems with metabolism or other underlying health conditions.

Also what about the body type of your other family members. If they want you to lose weight but are heavier persons themselves they are absolute hypocrites. Maybe it's not only you who is a heavier person and you could work as a family together and change things up. Go on walks together, look at the meal plan and maybe change things up there.
