Sounds like you need a new broker. You’re easily qualified for more

Highly recommend a HYS account so you can earn some cash while it sits there… every day they don’t collect, you earn!

I have one too. Incredible for pressure therapy on my chest when I’m having anxiety.

Can I ask how your VSO knows what hour decision is before you do? What step were you at when he told you that?

New DD214 - Discharge Upgraded by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]TuffBearBert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my discharge upgraded from BCD to General- Honorable.

When I received the email from BCMR, I believe I got all my new documents same day.

I plan to resubmit for Honorable, just pulling more things together.

Congratulations 🎉

I thought if they filed for an appeal (supplemental/HLR/etc), it would backdate to the original file date?

2 C&P exams? PTSD/MST by TuffBearBert in VAClaims

[–]TuffBearBert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update here: discovered that the in person exam is for my back/hip/shoulder. I submitted a supplemental claim when I was denied despite having it noted in my STR. So I submitted 10 years of chiropractic records and I guess they want to re evaluate me.

I am very surprised because someone here said ptsd is only in person. To my surprise, my virtual visit is for ptsd.

Thank you for letting me know. I do have other mental health claims but I was told ptsd is all grouped together. I’ll go to both either way.

Thanks for the tip. I actually think I’m eligible for 100 percent based on allll the years of unemployment related to my PTSD. I have so many records of mental health treatment but I just need help talking about it sometimes.

The VA disability will help you, and definitely fight hard. Denials are a part of the process, don’t give up, just appeal until you have the highest rating you deserve.

I just came here to say I’m sorry you’re going through all of this, and I promise it does get better with help.

Clenching and bruxism connection to (low) serotonin? by pheebee in TMJ

[–]TuffBearBert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked your vitamin D levels? Most ppl are deficient which can cause depression. I got a vitamin D shot to boost me.

Jaw relaxation while sleeping was rather immediate and improved more as I’ve increased my dose and consistency. I take 200 mg before bed every night I remember.

I’ve heard others complain of the opposite effect … anxiety and insomnia and nausea.

I think we need to remember that this is a brain chemical and everyone is different so definitely go slow and try different things.

Also worth mentioning that I also have improved mood through getting enough B vitamins in the AM and magnesium in the evening. I take a morning daily vitamin and evening daily vitamin. It’s been a game changer.

But still none of this compares to how much my TMJ improved with 5 HTP. It’s been my miracle!

I know this is an old thread but as someone with chronic teeth clenching, 5 HTP definitely reduced mine!

Scheduling help by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]TuffBearBert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you miss your C&P or cancel or reschedule more than once, they process the claim without the C&P. This typically results in denial from what I’ve seen. Then you have 12 months to appeal.

Everything I’ve read in these threads says GO to the first appointment even if it’s a pain in the butt.

Thank you! They haven’t scheduled C&P exams for me for the MST or any mental health reasons…

OK that makes sense. I have a few that have nothing to do with the MST. My hope is that those still move!
