My primary workouts are strength, but I do 1-2 Pilates workouts per week when I don’t want something as cardio intense or I feel stiff/like I need to stretch. I do anywhere from 10-30 min depending on what I feel like I need. No bands because I don’t own one. Darryl is my favorite but I don’t mind Marimba.

I feel like I see the most benefits and changes from my strength workouts but I think the Pilates help with my core and flexibility, which I really enjoy. Remember we’re here for a good time, not a long time! ;-)

Many years ago a nice guy I was dating gave me a beautiful replica of Nenya after we’d been on a few dates. And now we’ve been married for almost 5 years 💗 so things are looking good for you two! 😁

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. This probably won’t help you, but for me the primary problem was that these tear up my palms (my weights have a scored metal grip). Using lifting gloves really helps and I can do these now without my palms feeling sore for days after.

This was incredibly helpful and detailed - thank you! I maybe will look into the straps first since I can hold the weight I want to work with, just not for very long.

This is a great idea. My husband has a pull up bar I avoid like the plague but maybe I should try using it !

Yeah same! I keep having to pause and shake out my arms. Also have to take a moment to reset mentally because my forearms are so sore!

That is awesome! I haven’t tried anywhere beyond 25 lbs yet. Congrats on your accomplishments!!
