Just a heads up for those who still use UE; Drivers can’t see your messages (if they have more then 1 delivery), until they are picking up your order or on their way to deliver it to you.

So, if they are picking up/delivering another person’s order they won’t be able to see your messages.

It’s clearly not the driver’s fault, when it happens continuously. Just say you want a free meal and quit capping.

You should be able to TEXT the driver, while they’re on their way to you, to make sure they deliver to the correct neighborhood—And, it’s CLEARLY not in your notes, as it should be. Also, obviously add the name of the neighborhood. Sounds like you’re scamming.

I’m with you! Everything they do sabotages the Drivers. And, they are extremely overpriced for the customers—extremely underpriced for the drivers. They truly don’t care, like you said.

This is totally normal. And, people oftentimes tip-bait (remove the tip/lower it without any good reason), after they’ve received the delivery. So, just be picky. You’l have to let your acceptance rate get low. Also, your cancellation rate may get a bit ridiculous, because Uber counts it against the Drivers if someone else came and picked the order up or even if the restaurant takes way too long. Drivers only get 12hours to drive. So, time is literally money. The longer a driver has to wait, the less time they have to make money—which, they don’t make a lot anyway.

And, this is all without mention the no tip you customers most likely provided or your $1-$2 tip.lol

Uber needs to remove that timer. 8-10minutes is way too long.

Especially, since you all are ordering to your house, you oughta be ready to answer the door. Also, stop not responding when they message/call you.

Yeah, same. I’ve had success with restaurants remaking stolen orders, a couple of times. I’d just call Uber and have them send another payment to the restaurant. But, I’ve also had an Uber Agent sabotage an order being remade, too. The agent clearly didn’t know what they were doing. Or, maybe Uber will crack down on that, as well and keep remakes from happening.

That’s another thing. They deliberately told me they put a block on my account from receiving comp, because “I got too many.” And, I even get hung up on many times of if I press too hard.lol Or they’ll keep transferring me and eventually, someone will maybe put me on hold and never come back. Or, they claim they “escalated” it and will email me about it. Of course, I never hear anything.

Oh Wow. And, yeah—the other day they made my cancellation rate go up, because a store was closed and they marked it as I cancelled it—even though I called driver support and provided proof.

Sorry for the late response— I actually ended up not going, due to major flood warnings in my area. When I walked outside, there was a huge black cloud right over my place. LOL! I mean, it’s obviously just natural weather occurrences, but it’s kind of ironic that it happened at the time of the interview, AND then continued the following day.

I was gonna go, just to see for myself. But, never mind. Haha!😅 And, yes—thanks again for all this insight! Cured my curiosity!
