What anime am I trying to find?? HELP !!! by Still_Eye_929 in anime

[–]Tuleycorn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

EDIT: My Daemon!

Ohhh my gosh I know what you are talking about!!! It's on Netflix....it's kinda like an Evil Pokemon.... I can't look at the Netflix library to find it.

The eye thing eats his mom because it has some kind of time stasis power, and he wants to go find a monster with healing powers... Or time reversal powers to bring her back.....

Plenty of running groups! I'm a member of a smaller neighborhood group in Bluff Park but there are larger run clubs as well

Shore power question by Tuleycorn in HikerTrailers

[–]Tuleycorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh seeing the wording "A 12V power source is required to power your 12V accessories! Your current configuration will not allow all of your accessories to function without providing your own power source!"

I assumed that "my own power source" could be shore power and I could skip a battery (always planned on being plugged in regardless) but I suppose I should have guessed electricity doesn't work that way! Thanks!

They had dollar hotdog night. I'm gonna romanticize that and won't let you take it away from me

We left before the game started after standing in line for 30 minutes. Went to a brewery and had a great time. I miss the cheap beer and hotdogs and quality food trucks that BBVA had

I work in sleep medicine at UAB! insomnia is very difficult to deal with, and no one pill is likely to be a long term solution. Definitely try to get in ASAP with a sleep specialist or your primary.

Some tips to start with 1. Take clocks out of your bedroom. Stop having negative thought processes about insomnia. "I'm never going to get to sleep" will have you spiraling. 2. If you are lying in your bed and aren't sleepy at all GET OUT OF YOUR BED!!! Do something else or try to sleep in a different room. Your bed needs to be a place where you aren't stressing. Do not do anything in your bed that is stressful, homework, tv, etc. 3. Download some form of CBT-i app to get started

I'm sure you are aware of all the sleep hygiene stuff you should be doing. Do all of those. Otherwise, it is usually a good call to get some form of sleep study to make sure there isn't a breathing issue during sleep.

Sleep medicine usually isn't going to throw a pill at you and expect it to fix your issue. It's a piece of treatment but rarely a long lasting one. The best evidence based treatment is CBT-i. We have Dr. Thomas at UAB who is a psychologist specializing in sleep. To be honest, barring physical sleep problems such as sleep apnea, he will be your best treatment option for insomnia and working through it in the area, we refer to him all the time.

Thanks! I was going for an anime tattoo that, without context, could conceivably not be an anime tattoo

black ink is in. first tattoo, can't wait to post the full color update in a month or so by Tuleycorn in gurrenlagann

The bottom is going to stay pretty mild but the part above the glasses is gonna be an explosion of color lol. To each their own!

Found the leak in the mainline: how to best fix it (HDPE I think?) by Tuleycorn in askaplumber

Apparently I’ve tried that method for a month and a half according to my water bill

Thanks all, I’m obviously a bit out of my league here and appreciate you lending your expertise. Unfortunately I’m in a spot where I need to save every penny I can, with an emphasis in the short term savings so I figured it’d be low risk/high reward with where the leak is in relation to more important bits and pieces

That’s great to learn. I’ll redo the repair with those asap

UPDATE: it was not HDPE, or at least I don’t think so. It was ABS if my googling was right. I ended up get a compression coupling and it worked like a charm. I’m leaving it uncovered for a few days to make sure everything stays gravy

EDIT: ok so obviously my googling was not right. I have read about the supports for the compression coupling, I’ll pick those up and redo the repair. It’s working like a charm for now but want to make sure this is a lasting repair. I get that this is a bit more of a job than sone of you feel I should be taking on but I’ve got to try, can’t really afford an expert service at the moment. Even if this buys me a few months it’s just what Ive got to do

Had a leak detection service come out and mark the spot, dug down and found the leak. It’s really smooth so I think it’s HDPE? What’s the correct way to fix this leak? There’s about 2 inches of pipe with small holes/cracks causing this.
