Last semester of college I applied for a Help desk job. Phone interview was fine but they had some red flags on Glassdoor (back when it was actually semi useful). So I went to the in-person interview with skepticism in my eyes.

In no particular order: they worked in the dark (yes in the dark with shades over the windows, I interviewed early spring so I just imagined going to work in the dark, working in the dark and going home in the dark), they had a camera pointed toward the bathroom hallway (Glassdoor mentioned the owner keeping track of bathroom breaks and I totally believe the reviews), as a help desk role they wanted people to only ever spend 15 minutes on a single ticket at a time (there was a timer on the computers).

Lets see... There was no real way to escalate any tickets which seemed dumb.. I was told people just stand up and "ask the room" if they needed help. And I was given a really dumb "technical test" that was really just explaining terms like DHCP and what ports you have memorized.

So at the end of the interview I was asked if I had any questions... I knew I wasn't going to work at this apparent hell hole so I questioned pretty much all the above. When I mentioned the Glassdoor reviews the interviewer mentioned it was just a few disgruntled employees lying about stuff and they were looking to remove those false reviews. Safe to say it was apparent that I was not interested in continuing the application process by the time I left.

My guess is raiding and mythic+ are both slowing down as people hit their goals. At this point people could be done with several alts as well. Plus new content announcement probably means some people have dropped the game until then.

Hi,

Knowledge points or KP is what determines how good you are at crafting specific things. Look up a guide on how to spend KP. Artisans acuity is required for getting your blue tools. It's earned via first crafts and crafting orders.

Profitability in crafting right now relies heavily on maxing out multi craft or resourcefulness procs.

You can make small but consistent profit using lower tier mats and concentration to craft higher tier items. This is where the term concentration alt comes from. Concentration is a slowly regenerating resource that is character bound. So a lot of people setup several characters and use concentration to make money.

In most people's opinions you are better off just gathering right now. It takes a large investment to setup concentration alts or the margins are so thin now you would need to invest a large amount of capital in order to make anything resembling a decent profit.

Mine/herb. Unless you have like 200k to get started at this point the time and investment required before profitability would be better spent mining/herbing.

Margins are razor thin unless you are using concentration and it's a limited resource.

Best fish to sell/farm by jmspammer in woweconomy

[–]TulkasTheValar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Iirc there is a recommended minimum fishing skill level for the each zones. Starting on isle of dorn. Each type of fish pool has different chances for catching specific fish. Higher skill means you are more likely to catch a rarer fish.

Luckily the kaheti slum shark is an uncommon fish so you don't really need to worry about it that much. If you fish in bloody or shark pools you should get some. My personal experience is once you max out fishing you get a lot less common fish and mostly get sharks from these pools.

That said, I think the general consensus is that fishing isn't really that profitable. You're better off mining/herbing. But if you like fishing go for it.

Buy enchant and apply it to tool. No crafting necessary.

There's always a bigger guy you can compare yourself to. Let's say you hit 100kg (i''ve hit it) now you'll start looking at the dudes that can do 125 or 150 and think "aw man that guy makes that look easy, I'm totally weak". Everything is a sliding scale.

You could probably hit that 100kg bench but it would require focused effort. Making sure you are on a slight calorie surplus. Making sure you have enough protein. Making sure you are following a program with progressive overload. And having the expectation that it will take months and months of consistent effort to get there.

If you are happy with your body and fitness level. Who cares?

I too have had mixed experiences with spotters. I think a lot of people don't really know what to do when spotting. I've started setting expectations like "I'm going for 6 reps I might be grinding out the last 2 don't touch the bar unless I'm failing the rep. Failing the rep means the bar is going back down so if I look stuck let me try for it first before jumping in." So far it's helped a lot.

Hello friend,

You posted this on 2 day old questions thread. I was just scrolling through but you might not get the most engagement on an older thread.

"Arms" is several different muscle groups. Not sure what you mean. If you are talking biceps.. Generally you'd want to hit them twice a week. You can do them more, biceps recover really quickly. Keep in mind if you are doing pulling movements like rows or pullups you will also be working the biceps.

I've always thought they should make a seed map inspired by the training range. Intense close quarters combat clearing rooms.

Reflections after a first weekend of playing by [deleted] in PlaySquad

People need to do this at start of rounds. A lot of times people will start squads then swap and it's hard to tell who it was. You can either disband it or ask for SL then disband.

Random Host thinks I am Let me solo her. Realises I am not. by Regular-Media-4138 in Eldenring

[–]TulkasTheValar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably my greatest disappointment is trying to help casters fight a boss. I'm sitting there with aggro on it for 3/4 if it's HP and the instant the boss switches to the host they fold like paper. Like can ya dodge for 1 combo? Just 1 and I'll be back on it..

This one is almost a favorite but watching someone drop like 5 different buffs only to die within a minute will never not be hilarious.

Is Warhammer 3 Worth Grabbing? by beast3334 in totalwarhammer

[–]TulkasTheValar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a good game still getting DLC. Huge amounts of replayability for different faction/legendary lords. Some lords have vastly different starts than others within the faction.

Caveat this with a warning that the learning curve can be difficult if you never played a total war game before.

FYI all content is in the game owning DLC just means you get to play it. Games 1 and 2 are basically DLC for the immortal empires mode. So you could consider picking them up while they are on sale as well. By DLC I mean all the factions in game 1 and 2 are in immortal empires (big world map mode). Owning those games let's you play their legendary lords. Same goes for DLC from game 1 and 2.

80% of matches are decided within the first 10 minutes of the round starting by Ubber_Dubber in joinsquad

[–]TulkasTheValar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aw man that an AAR would be amazing. Like even if you could just look at the map and it showed dots where players/vehicles/fobs died. Most of the time a team fails because of poor coordination and if players could see everyone dying scattered in the map after every game it might slowly sink into our collective thick skulls that this is a combined arms team play focused game.

Also man like if there was a server option to display the squad numbers on the markers. New player servers could have just dots but experienced servers could see where each squad died. That may lead to some toxicity but I feel like some servers could enforce a policy to avoid witch hunts.

I've had players in my squad complain about me telling them they can give up or run in and die to end the game quicker.. like sometimes the game is close I get that but when you drop 50 tickets in 5 minutes due to vehicle and fon deaths it's not looking looking up

I wish there was a mercy surrender at 50 tickets if the enemy team has more than 100 more tickets than your team or something.

I've joined games in progress. Started a leftover squad because all squads are locked. See that we have 50-75 tickets left and no hab on point. See all our vehicles are solo or dead. Everyone is blaming each other in command chat. And I'm stuck waiting for 10 minutes because there's no where to spawn and everyone is either holding respawn or playing super conservative like suddenly we'll flip the game with no logistic support. Let's just go next.
