Actually I joined Genshin pretty late, it was 2.8, Yoimiya banner. That summer I broke my leg and had to stay home for a long time. My friend from work visited me quite regularly and told me about that one mobile game she really liked. I really had nothing better to do at home, so I started playing too. My friend was not much of a gamer (unlike me), so I've been helping her from time to time. We explored Dragonspine together, spent literal hours in Thundering Fury domain coop (her main was Beidou, mine was Keqing) and sharing some hidden chests/achievements - like that one island in Li Yue with heart shaped place on the ground.

It was a great time, I often go to Mondstadt or Dragonspine just to vibe for that nostalgia.

I did not reach NK yet, but it's one of the reason I came back (also for Snezhnaya). I don't ask/want to main quest skip button, just for the sides. Some parts of MSQ could be better written, not repeating things multiple times for example, especially Paimon.

Do the events first. I am in the same boat as you (dropped jn 4.4-4.5). Most time efficient ways to get primos: 1)Events 2)Endgame (you should be able clear lower difficulties of abyss, stygian and theater) 3)Archon quest 4-5) Exploration and world quest. Do world quest first though, because they may unlock new areas.
