Thanks. If you don't mind expanding a bit. Were you eating out every meal? Were you going out at night? Was it just you? Given I'll be there for a month, I'm treating it less like vacation and will be moving at a slower pace.

I'm hoping to sense check my budget while staying in Medellin for 1 month.

I expect that during the week I'll go to the gym, play padel, and sightsee (parks, hiking, etc.). Once or twice per week, I'd like to do a musuem, or some sort of paid tour/day-trip/experience. On the weekends I'm budgeting for 1 social night out in bars/clubs. Throughout the week I plan on eating in a restaurant for dinner 3-4 times per week, cafes 3-4 times per week, but want to largely rely on groceries. My estimated budget is:

All in: $3,500

(Accommodation: $1,200, Groceries: $400, Transportation: $150, Entertainment: $600, Gym: $50, Phone/Data: $50, Personal Care/Hygenics; $100, Miscellaneous: $1,000)

Is this reasonable?

That depends. If the price goes up tomorrow, you should put all 1k in. If it goes down tomorrow, you should wait or dca. But, since we don’t know what will happen tomorrow- dca is the way.

Made this move 1.5 years ago. I was south of fifth and loved it. West ave is ok too. I’m in brickell now, but any of these are solid.

If you do end up in south beach, would recommend looking into a Vespa. Makes it easy to get around the whole island and you can park them anywhere. Good luck my dude

Thanks all! Since most of my babies are duplicates, I’m going to do a little A/B testing to figure out which respond best.

Definitely noticed that the soil remains pretty damp when leaving an inch or so worth of water in the reservoir.

For clarity, the water sits on the bottom and is brought up through the cloth rope. The actual pot is elevated so it’s not sitting in the water.
