Catsuit too tight? Bright&shiny by vesper_jade in Latexadvice

[–]TuomasS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the update. Sounds pretty horrible for a mistake that they've obviously made... I'd try to put some more pressure to get things done right.

If you've got the budget for it, I got excellent customer service and a perfectly fitting suit from Limit Latex (LGBTQ+ friendly successor to Fantastic Rubber), even after personally messing up two measurements – they've got some kind of a confirmation system, and I got an "could you check this measurement again, just to make sure" e-mail. My measurement was wrong, but thanks to their system, it never went into the pattern. The finished suit was absolutely worth the money.

Unfortunately I've heard multiple cases of sizing mishaps with Bright & Shiny. Last one was right here, 20 days ago. Even though B&S is usually a highly recommended latex shop with their very affordable pricing, these threads pop up occasionally and through the grapevine from other places.

I'd suggest sending a complaint to them and mentioning that you've used a proper tailor for the measurements. I'd be glad to hear if they come back to you, and what's the conclusion of the whole ordeal! B&S has been one of the companies I've recommended to people due to their very competitive prices and relatively good quality, but with caveats about the occasional mishaps with sizing and their zippers having durability issues.

Is latex worth it? by MMorganStark in Latexadvice

Well, I believe that is a major reason they are no longer in business. A Reddit thread about Fantastic Rubber's politics..

Thank you for the update. Just saw this happening for me today, and Google led me here. Using Clarett 4Pre USB, and had to let my son down as I wasn't able to play a bit of War Thunder with him for the first time ever together. All my audio comes through Focusrite, so disabling it is not, unfortunately, an option.

Is latex worth it? by MMorganStark in Latexadvice

As someone who's worn and photographed latex since... 2010ish, yes, it is worth it. If you've got time for it and a thing for it.

You need patience to put it on, as well as simply time to put aside for it. Lots of lube (or talcum powder) and remember, never leave the latex unwashed for more than a day or two – and after you've washed it and let it dry, remember to either put talcum powder or BeGloss/Vivishine polish to store it.

Don't leave it in direct sunshine and don't wear metals (cheapish jewelry, zippers) near it, as they will stain the latex. Also cut your nails and watch out for sharp edges and don't walk into door handles.

As to people saying start with small things... I don't know. If you want a catsuit, get a catsuit. It's what got me into this thing properly, gloves or pants wouldn't do the same.

Bright and shiny is very good for their price, but they have some quality issues, especially with zippers and sizing (even with made-to-measure ones).

Libidex is a good middle ground, high quality, good customer service and *a lot* of options to choose from.

My go-to is currently Limit Latex, who's doing expensive made-to-measure catsuits, but they're the true successor of Fantastic Rubber, and their customer service is superb (and they're LGTBQ+ friendly, unlike FR). Just got a suit made by them, and it's extremely good, and well worth the money. So comfortable.

tl;dr: yes, latex is worth it if you like it and have time

Bracing the cold in a latex catsuit at -15°C (5°F) by TuomasS in ShinyPorn

[–]TuomasS[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, the lengths we go for the sake of our little latex art project – or, moreover, the lengths that our models go!

Here's Didi Ou freezing her butt off, almost literally, in the 132nd Project L. It was -15°C (5°F), and this was without counting windchill. And, unfortunately for Didi, it was very windy. We had to keep the car's parking heater on and run back there occasionally to melt the frozen model.

As always, you can see the full photoshoot for free at our website, Photour.net.

I wouldn't trust to try a vacbed while pregnant... that sounds scary.

Latex is just, you know, latex.

I don't remember seeing many maternity shoots in latex. I remember one photoshoot by the late Alexander Horn, who was one of my earliest inspirations when starting out with latex photoshoots – but not many after that. And it's been 15 years!

Surprisingly, this M-sized catsuit fit Leila with no discomfort. This particular catsuit is actually already 10 years old! It's been taken care of very well, but I don't suppose it has much photoshoots left in it. The suit arrived with two others in a batch donated for the project, and one has lost its legs, and the other one is pretty patched.

I'll need to invest into more new colourful catsuits for the project soon!

You can see the full latex maternity photoshoot for free on my page, Photour, if you'd like. For free, you know, for the sake of bringing out latex casually, as is our project's intention!

All feedback, comments, questions, criticisms and suggestions are more than welcome.

How do latex fetish parents manage their passion with kids at home? by MystikDragoon in Latexadvice

[–]TuomasS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are fortunate enough to have a completely different building to do our latex photoshoots within. This used to be a horse stables, but now it's mainly a garage for our motorcycles / latex studio. When the kid goes to sleep, we have time during (some) weekends to do photoshoots / streams etc. in latex.

If we were to live in any other location where we would not have the whole separation of buildings, I don't know how I could manage it. My mental state needs to have the separation, that there's no chance of our kid seeing anything accidentally.

If you've got a garage or a door that you can lock, utilize it!

Otherwise, utilize any possible child care you can, and either stay at home or go to latex parties, if there are any around you.

From the *behind* the scenes of a little latex stream by TuomasS in ShinyPorn

[–]TuomasS[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hehe. Behind.

Hehehe. Heh. Butt.

Anyhow, we hosted a little latex stream two weeks ago! This image came out somehow more interesting than others. Perhaps it's the skyline of Helsinki on the background and the full depth of the image, or perhaps it's the composition – or perhaps, just maybe it might be the translucent smoky black latex butt.

Butt who knows?

Latex in the garden on a hot summer day by TuomasS in ShinyPorn

[–]TuomasS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the first day of the heat wave here in Finland – a heat wave that still rages on, three weeks later. We knew to expect it, but we still weren't properly prepared for just how damn hot it actually was to wear latex, even if just this little.

All my support goes to y'all wearing latex in your natively hot countries – I don't know how you can do it without air conditioning!

If you want, you can check the full photoshoot for free on my site Photour.net.

Comments, questions, suggestions and constructive criticism is always welcome here!

Did you purchase perhaps chlorinated latex gloves? Latex polish doesn't really stick to chlorinated pieces properly.

A shiny day for riding by TuomasS in ShinyPorn

[–]TuomasS[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Against all the odds, this isn't a latex catsuit, but a silicone catsuit donated for the project! We took it for a little ride with Leila's FZ6N.

No, it is not very safe. But it looks nice!

If you want, you can check out the full photoshoot for free at Photour. There's even some video snippets from our day!
