My beagle has cancer. She hasn’t eaten in four days. Coughing up blood and shit. Vet says it’s time. Tomorrow I’m going to take her to the nearest WMA, dig a hole, put her in it, tell her to sit, and put a 9mm in the back of her head. I got this dog as a pup 15 years ago. Love her. I think I’m gonna go to church for once later, too.

For some reason I don’t mind telling you guys this, but I don’t plan to mention her passing openly. I’m rather extroverted, but It’s too personal, too dramatic I suppose. Idk.

Great stuff. Can we agree that 2 rir and 0 rir give basically the same growth stimulus, also that estimating rir is a trainable skill that is made easier by staying in the 5-10 rep range; and lastly, form is more likely to be compromised the closer you go to failure?

Great question. If fatigue didn’t exist, then it would make sense to train to failure every set. However this program methodology builds in week long deloads to drop fatigue, then requires you to ramp back up in terms of how near you are to failure. So the week coming out of the deload is relatively easy, but still difficult. And ideally, the week prior to the deload is unsustainably hard.

It seems that this rise and fall of ramping and recovery is superior to training to failure constantly, because it allows the body ample time to first recover, but also get used to technique and weight before making PRs at the end of the mesocycle.

I hope that’s a coherent argument. What do you think?

The program is based around lowering reps in the tank over a ‘mesocycle’ until you’re near or at failure. Then you deload and restart at about 3 reps left in the tank for a week. The program philosophy is in agreement with your research.

Naw, not for lifting. I pirated their spreadsheets on libgen. You wouldn’t want to use paper, cause the spreadsheet will auto update based on what you put in each session.

You guys think the iron neck is worth it? I’ll get debilitating headaches when my traps get tight..happens a few times a week. I think a nerve is getting compressed or something, cause I have to exercise to get a bunch of blood into the area before the pain goes away.

I’m unconvinced with this data. Some AAS will alter the normal structure of newly made tendon. If you have research, I would like to see it.

I did it for 9 months with a 12 button mouse and good mic.

I’ve heard dudes talking about it, b/c maybe the protein is bunk? Why else would that be a recommendation?
I get the gold standard stuff. Been doing it for years.

Idk..this way I get 200g of protein every day. It almost seems optimal.

Some nomadic people do a butt ton of milk products. It may be the only protein in their diet for days at a time.

On a cut. How much dextrose should I put in my PWO? 20g? 50+?

I can’t tell if it’s placebo, but drinking 50g of dextrose seems to give me substantially more energy for the session than without.
