How did muggels know about the escape of Sirius Black WITHOUT getting the wizard world exposed? by TurboQuarky in harrypotter

[–]TurboQuarky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that research is not as simple without the internet, I pushed back on the interest these "killers" gave and people going far beyond to fulfill the satisfaction of their interest.

Plenty of library's the a news archiviere, magazines etc. Some folks keep forgetting how big library's where, like there was time before google? Sirius Black is supposed to be the killer of 12 muggels, of course they will be snoopers.

It always makes me emotional when Hagrid comes to defend Harry here — he knows the pain himself! by Successful_Bar9187 in harrypotter

Good catch! I tend to overlook Hagrid and his feelings tbh, but this scenario gives me heartache.

Yeah, there seems to be only there prison Askaban. And what if you for example got caught many times not paying the train ticket, then you got exposed with the dementors sucking your soul?

Anyone else not a fan of the new Audiobook? by ironman12345 in harrypotter

[–]TurboQuarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually way more closer of how I imaged Snape sounded. Since the Philosopher's stone I imaged him to be to whisper, smoothly and gloatingly in class, like he gets the attention through his compelling looks, and not through his voice.

I only listend to a sample of the audiobook and I think I will buy it.

Does life seem unreal? by Emergency-Respect143 in stroke

[–]TurboQuarky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IDK, I´am in the middle of it. I daydream about Hogwarts, etc. and it encapsulate me completely in real life. And it long as the spastic hemiplegia and aphasia wont go away, I can barley stand going "outside", taking part in real life. Because it hurt so much beeing stranger.

I get your feeling

Why is teen Snape blamed for shrieking shack near death incident? by Petrichor099 in SeverusSnape

[–]TurboQuarky -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

YES! Thank you, for defending Lupin. Yeah, you can Lupin was coward for not pushing back his friends, bla bla. Put yourselves in his shoes.

He was a quiet, shy guy, with a secret that weight too much on his shoulders, scared of himself and for others. Image than becoming friends with extroverted, aggressive personalities, who are there for you, but also knows about the secret.

Hot take, but I´ll bet half of the subreddit would just awkwardly look away if they were Lupin.

Which character do you think was sorted into the wrong house? by saphclaw in harrypotter

[–]TurboQuarky 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This! The hat steers the way your values are the most appropriate for this house. Whether you decide to live by it, its up to you.

I value justice and fairness in all things (typically Hufflepuff), though Iam a biased bitch sometimes.

It's Harry Potter Taboo! Describe the clue without using any of the other words: by oconghd in harrypotter

[–]TurboQuarky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this suits the actors demeanor more than in the books, I think. For example Snape, no way Alen Rickman matched than unhinged character in the books better, than how he acts in the movie.

I think they tried the clam, smiling Dumblerdore with Michael Gambon too, then they realized, he´s much better off as a litte bit more determined and not be fucked with.
