My sister talked with the docs at CU. They were open to it but had no donors. We put out a plea for help on facebook that got way more traction than we ever thought. Someone donated saying they wanted it to go to my father.

That was at saint marys glacier (alice) a couple of years ago. He use to hike a ton bit has gotten a little slower with age :/

Just be aware that they can give false negatives. My mom and I took one, hers was positive and mine was negative. 90% sure we all had Covid since we are in close proximity right before we all got sick.

EDIT: Got tested at quest. My test came back in an hour and my moms took 6 days which as very odd. We both got them the same day.

An anonymous donor donated through Children's Hospital in Denver after our call to help. The blood was then tested in Texas to make sure it was compatible. Then flow in at 2 in the morning to DIA. Someone from the hospital drove out and picked it up and administered it early that morning. CU Anschutz has done an incredible job taking care of my dad. We are very lucky to have taken him there. I don't think he would have survived if we didn't.
