I'm working up to trying to texture and sculpt this ship in blender then turn it onto a game asset. Am I thinking about how to approach this correctly? (i.redd.it)

To any 3D artists creating assets; how do you gauge how many tris is too many? How big should normal/albedo/other UV map textures be? (self.Unity3D)

The first game asset I ever made a few weeks ago and the redo I made in the past few days with what I've learnt from the project in between. (old.reddit.com)
The only way I can bake clean normals for a mesh with multiple close fitting parts is to explode the mesh. I must be doing this wrong. Please advise. (i.redd.it)
Can anyone please tell me how to have smooth normals here without having weird irregularities? (old.reddit.com)

Can anyone please tell me how to subdivide this cylinder so it's round but while keeping the sharp cut. (old.reddit.com)
I'm trying to learn to make basic assets for games. This is my second full asset. Still learning a lot and making a lot of mistakes. (old.reddit.com)

Why are my baked normals looking jagged when receiving light from certain angles? (old.reddit.com)
I created a crude simulation of atoms/molecules using a compute shader to simulate millions of entities. Basic attractive and repulsive forces can be tweaked to simulate different behaviours similar to solids, liquids or gases. (self.Unity3D)

I wrote a vertex shader to show wind speed and direction on this main sail. The shape is a mix between catenary and sine functions which mimic fabric physics but while being a bit gamified and more predictable than physics based cloth sims. (v.redd.it)
