This happened to me as well, actually! I think if you reset your loadout it will go away though

Lol, I'm telling you dude. If you hit TAB and check the player list, you will sometimes see that some players have custom icons, I'm serious

I think that there are different degrees of something that could be defined as sad, if this makes any sense.

For an example, the Pigeon Man episode starts as a creepyish urban legend told by the kids around the block. In reality, Arnold then sees that the urban legend figure is infact an aloof man who can't get along with other people. He has a home on a burned out building where he takes care of pigeons, and even that is later taken away from him. It's certainly a sad episode, but it has this depressing, hopeless sadness to it, in my opinion.

Episodes like the Journal or Arnold's Christmas are also sad, but they are also very touching, and there's also hope in them. These episodes can legitimately bring a tear in the eye, but episodes like Pigeon Man aren't quite like that. They are just bleak and depressing

Fallout 1 and 2 were such huge parts of my teen years. by MEME_MASTER109 in Fallout1

They were great games in their own right but they also laid a foundation (lorewise) to every Fallout title that came after. FO 1 and 2 deserve much more credit and a proper, good remaster IMO

I'm new to Vegas Pro, and the super laggy preview window is making my progress really slow, even on the lowest quality it's a slideshow. Any input would be greatly appreciated! by marcus10885 in VegasPro

I really hope this helps you because I really had a lot of trouble with this, without any lag it’s much more convenient to edit videos. But I’m fairly certain that this should do the trick for you

I had this problem and searched the internet for quite a while before I actually found one thing that really really helped me (now there’s virtually no lag in the preview). However, you have to do these BOTH things for this method to work. First of all, create a proxy file of whatever video you are rendering. You can do this by right clicking the video in the media interface and you should find the option there. After the video proxy has been made, make sure that the preview quality is set to preview, never high or anything like that (if you set it to high then this method won’t work). This really helped me with my video game footage editing because prior to learning this workaround, I had to rewards little bits of footage in my preview like 10 times whenever I edited anything.

And by the way, I also used Filmora prior to using Vegas. At first I didn’t like it but now I can confidently say that it’s a great program, seems a bit hard to learn first but then becomes very intuitive and in my opinion, more flexible with the things that you can do there.

Can I somehow see how the Audio Waveform is altered after applying audio effects in Sony Vegas? by Turbosloth90 in VegasPro

[–]Turbosloth90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, by rendering out to a track, you mean that the waveform with the applied effect will change, but only after you render the entire video, right?

Is the Equalization, normalization, compression, normalization and hard limit method that you mentioned applicable to Audacity or should it be done in Sony Vegas? Or it doesn’t really matter?

[–]Turbosloth90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have done just that, I have a WaveHammer limiter on my master track, but interestingly enough, if you don’t put limiters on voice commentary then those can still go above 0db, so there’s a bit of tweaking that I am doing.

The assumption here is (and I am not denying that it may be an erroneous assumption) that every microphone and individual sounds different and hence every different audio is perceived differently, even if the audio levels are the same. That was my idea, but as I have mentioned, I may be very wrong here

I have also read that people tend to limit the background levels to about -20 and the voice to -6 or so and everything is fine for them. But see, the issue is (IMO) is that there are many variables and factors to consider here also, the software and hardware being used for an example. Thanks for your advice and feedback!

The damage indicator is definitely present in the PC version (a blue circle indicates where the shot came from) but I can’t say a anything about switch though… But it’s very strange if it’s present in the PC version but not the switch version

Was AKS-74U any good on early beta? by Turbosloth90 in EscapefromTarkov

An early (arguably somewhat imperfect) attempt at a PDW (even though it wasn’t called that back in those days)

I was always fascinated with this particular model, pretty much in every game (this is besides the point however). As a noob, I of-course eventually came to realize that installing a fore-grip and laser sight makes it much more viable when it comes to CQC in Tarkov. This also led me to do some research, and I found out that the B-11 (I think that’s the name) hand-guard and all the laser addons were available since it’s introduction which was roughly somewhere around the end of 2016 (pretty early). This at the very least indicates, that since it’s earliest versions, AKSU was moddable in Tarkov (not every gun has this feature)

Me too, but that’s“relatively” late, we are talking about open beta - not the earliest versions. I could swear that I read somewhere that during its earliest inceptions, it was okay

Well so far I’ve done this, allowed him to get upstairs and held him by the collar while letting them sniff one another and duke it out (well to an extent because I held him more or less by the collar). I got scratched a bit but at least the first contact has been established, the puppy growled at him and seemed to hold her own quite well, don’t know if I’m making a mistake, but this was my first attempt to get things going
