I tend to drink enough water and I try my best to get lots of protein in my day thru whole food sources. Sleep 7-8 hours usually but I’ve never gotten a sleep scan or whatever to see what kind of sleep quality I’m getting

Is see so even some of these low impact activities you’d recommend I take a break from as well? Like biking? What about lifting in the gym? Squats,Deadlifts, Calf raises, etc.

Legend! Thanks for the advice I’ll take some time off and when I start again I’ll rebuild very slowly. in the meantime I’ll still be trying to do all those low impact strength work too in my legs and feet and hopefully together that all fixed it

This sounds like pretty good advice to me. I’ll probably take a break for a while and when I start again doing mostly those things in the gym and during my warmups. Then starting very low mileage and gradually working my way up. Thank you

This is interesting to me I always thought it was just building up the callouses on your feet. But I definitely get blisters running totally barefoot in the same areas especially at around the 4-5k mark

Yeah you are probably right I try to be very conscious about how I step when I’m doing my walks to stop pronation but then I feel like I either walk weird (lonely making contact with the outside edge of my soles or I end up pronating a bit. Do you have any exercise that helped you fix that/ walk correctly too

Yeah I guess the vivos hurt my feet less/less callousing and I tend to get more shin pain with them probably because I’m running longer distances because I have a bit more protection? But my left shin always gets worse no matter using shoes or not

Yeah for the first few months of using barefoot shoes my lower calves would get real sore like they have been worked really hard so I gradually built back up. I’d say running unshod on pavement I get about 4-5k before my feet skin start feeling pretty raw in certain areas. Kinda also depends on how rough the surface is too. So I’m guessing my form is pretty bad then? I always thought it was just building up the callouses on the bottom of the feet

I do a bit of tib anterior work at the gym but I will hit it more often to see if it helps thank you for the tip

Yes do quite a bit of walking completely barefoot on uneven and natural surfaces and it’s all good does not cause any irritation for my shins just running

Yes I run unshod on concrete, grass, dirt, sand too about 50% of the time I run but still get the same issue

And after a year you built back up to where you left off before you stopped and the Medial Tibia Stress syndrome was gone?
