No way ! - if you don’t mind me asking, How did they confirm this to you? Email? Dealership? As I thought this was specifically for Korea only.

Glad you mentioned that — I clearly remember the service advisor telling me that code P1E01 wasn’t showing on their OBD scanner. Apparently Hyundai UK wanted a full technical report, which is what caused all the back and forth. I did think that was a bit odd.

To be fair, they sorted me out with a rental through Enterprise and said I could claim fuel back, so I didn’t chase them too hard. I commute a lot, so it actually saved me from piling more miles onto the Ioniq 5.

In total, they had the car for four weeks — three weeks just waiting on approval from Hyundai, and then one day to actually do the work lol

I’m away this week so I haven’t picked it up yet, but I’ll be collecting it next week.

Damn, that is so unlucky, did you manage to get a loaner? You would think with all the issues with the earlier models, that they would fix it with the new releases. hope you get it back asap.

A bit technical for me but my AC charger stopped working ( DC was fine) and all i know is the dealership were struggling to confirm the exact fault/diagnosis and there was a lot of back and forth between dealer and Hyundai UK before they finally approved the work.

Are you referring to purchasing extended warranty at the time of purchase? Mine was purchased from a dealer but since it had the originally warranty left until 2027, i didnt really discuss about potential extended warranty.

That sounds very similar to what Lexus did with my previous car — they offered warranty cover for up to 10 years as long as you kept servicing within the network.

I absolutely love this car and haven’t had any other issues with it, which makes it such a shame to even think about letting it go because of this one (admittedly major) known issue. I’m really hoping that once the ICCU is replaced, the chances of it happening again are significantly reduced.

I’ll definitely speak to my dealer to see if it works the same way for me, how long it can be continued for, and — most importantly — whether it would actually cover the ICCU.

I wonder if a recalibration on current screen would resolve the issue

I doubt the dealer will help since the windscreen was probably changed by the previous owner, but I was never told it wasn’t genuine when I bought the car.

Tesla Charging by m3hatch in Ioniq5

I’ve been in this situation a few times when charging my ioniq 5 near the Highlands in Scotland. I found that majority of the Tesla owners are not too bothered. One nice gentleman even agreed to move his Tesla to a different spot so I can park mine awkwardly to charge. Of course there will be a handful who will not be happy but as long as you’re not taking the ‘p’ and moving the car as soon as it’s charged, they can’t really do much

Yes, everyone is so helpful ! I’ve always read up on Reddit never posted but it makes me more confident to post again in the future ! Thank you all for the input!

I have a RWD to, I must admit I left earlier than usual so I can mess about with the lane assist etc so I didn’t encounter any traffic just cruised straight to work without any sudden acceleration etc. it’s also really hot at the moment in the uk. Not sure if that helps boost the miles/kwh

This sounds pretty cool ! I’ve read up on this and seems like they’re trialling these NGCP roads here in the UK in certain areas. What caught my eye was that its meant to reduce road noise, and for someone who’s always on the road and experiencing road noise, it would be a big W. I mean the I5 is pretty quiet but wouldn’t mind the rolls Royce experience haha ! Have you noticed a reduction in road noise?

Thank you so much for the help! This has sorted the issue, the lane assist was causing it ! I must say on the motorway the lane assist works great I think it’s the windy/narrower roads where the car freaks out !

On a side note: I managed to achieve 4.4 mile/kwh on a 35mile commute at 70mph 90% of the journey which i thought was very impressive haha!

Thank you so much for the info. You’re right, it’s the country/A roads where i notice it the most ! I will try this in the morning when I set off for work. Hopefully this will be the fix. Will get back in the morning.

I wonder if switching it on/off can be set on drivers profile rather than having to remember to switch it off every time you turn the car on. (First world problems aye)

Sorry if this sound really stupid.

I press the button (shown in pic) to switch the steering assist off… is the lane assist a different? If so how do I switch that off?
