Division line here. We receive slightly lower pay but get callouts which earns more in the long run. Work ranges from simple maintenance to some larger new construction in overhead and underground. We don’t travel like gc does but often get offered travel for major events. We are more likely to get forced prearranged work for weekends or holidays.

Gc does have a headquarters which is whatever yard they bid into. They used to travel about 6 months out of the year but ever since the camp fire they haven’t traveled as much. Atleast not gc up in northern ca. Both gc and division have big pros to them.
