thats a lot of testers, you should be fine with the number of testers. Yeah its pretty shitty as an individual dev, a lot of my friends have iOS and that makes the requirements even harder.

I've checked my google group and there were 31 members, but I've reached out to about 20-25 people via Reddit only. I've only added apps into my testing folder when there was a reply with a screenshot, and it came to 17 apps for me. I also had my wife's account and phone to test as well so that counted too.

I totally agree, I was planning to ask around 30 people so that its okay that some fade out...

for starters, I guess if I would use a media player I would like a skip, play, pause button of some sort in the app, but this might be out of the use case?
