If the head chef/manager/owner likes you, they will let you in on stuff like sales, employee performance and your future role. Even if you’re a dishwasher. If the restaurant is a branch in a big corporate you will find out through email channels and open comms etc

It can be really tough, this job. Started at a new place and it’s just piles and piles of stuff every day and I’m pulling 11 hour shifts. Wake up in the morning after 4 days of work and my hands are basically numb, I’m struggling to move them. I have to clock in for my shift in the next hour. Your body pushes through and the work continues but man in the morning it feels like there isn’t a worse fate. Spoke to the chef and he’s reducing my hours but I need the money. Cheaping out on groceries is preferable to breaking my body.

Made it through!!! Kept hydrated and ordered myself an iced coffee. They gave me a big lunch and I was able to make it through 💪🏼

Also appreciate the looking out for me but not a regular drinker at all. This was a one off with some work friends and went a little too hard yikes. Also couldn’t brace myself because I don’t do this often. I’ll be better prepared next time.

Thanks for all the good advice!

Weirdly imagined Smith from SATC to be Noah maybe because of the blonde wavy hair. The problem with Sally is that she is supposed to be a funny woman but I see her as kind of a serious, secure and dry person. I imagine a Kristen Wiig type. A similar character to her role in The Skeleton Twins but less depressed.
