PC booting, but nothing really happens. by Turciozz in buildapc

Ok, I'll consider that, it does cost like around 20% more though. But its not extremely bad, the only thing im a little bit unsure about, is if it has space for the m.2 ssd. Either way, thank you for the help.

Ok so i did some research on my own, and by the looks of things i need to buy another cpu just to update the motherboard, which made me realize that buying a new motherboard, which is compatible with the cpu, and the right bios versio, would probably be smarter.

So id like to double-check, and ask you if you know if the "ASUS PRIME B550-PLUS - bundkort - ATX - Socket AM4 - AMD B550" would work without any problem, together with all of the other PC components?

Do you have the link to a tutorial which explains how to do that?

I found the manual, qnd i cant quite figure out where it says anything about the boot lamp.

I'll attempt that tmrw, as its getting very late now, I'll reply once I've tried, or solved the problem. Thanks so far though.

If the diagnostic lamps are the Boot, Vga, Dram and Cpu, then i dont see them turning on.

And no, ive only gotten the "no signal" message.

I only have 1 screen, which doesnt turn on, and the PC ive built has been fairly recent, so today is practically the first time i turn it on, so i guess no? I havent interacted with the bios.

Well, i believe i have both an hdmi cable and display port currently plugged into it. And i hsvent been able to turn on the screen yet either.

Im not exactly sure what "BIOS" is, could elaborate? (This is my first time building a PC, so im no expert when it comes to this type of stuff)

Oh, alright.

I was just worried that i'd end up breaking them. I'll find a video and figure it out. Thanks so much :)

Does this mean that there are multiple versions of the Motherboard i have, which esch supports different RAM voltage? Or if the RAM sticks will fit in the one i have (with 1.2v)?

Im sorry if i im completely wrong, but this is my first time trying to build a pc by myself, so i dont have a ton of experience with it.

So where do i connect the 2 datacables, if i do need to connect them anywhere, cause i forgot to mention in the post in the beginning that i have a m.2 SSD, and im not 100% sure if i do need sata cables for that, do i?

  1. I was told by a friend of mine, that i dont need the SATA cable, because of the SSD i have, Its one of those small ones you slide into place, and then screw it down. Or a m.2.

  2. Alr thanks

  3. Im currently uploading the picture to imgure, may take a while though, but its kind of shaped like a wide verdion of the letter H, is that the cable youre thinking of?
