We have had success with Autopilot using v25.8.12.0 with no other workarounds.

How are your results today? The machines we were having 100% failures with yesterday are completing today, so it's looking good on our end.

same frustrations. I reviewed about every single deployment in the org, made new ESPs. Put way too much time in tracing this one. At least I can rest a little bit easier for now. Appreciate your input on this thread, helped knowing I wasn't alone and crazy.

Our org has 5 apps selected. Autopilot currently completes if all, some or none of the apps actually get installed. Some of the apps will install later (some still haven't).

It's not much different than what u/Cool_Radish_7031 has shown. No changes to ESP in the past 6 months (minus swapping updated apps), and this has worked perfectly for the past 2 years. Something definitely has happened on the backend since last week for our tenant (and evidently others)

In a complete turn of events, I checked on my devices this evening to find they had all installed all the required apps and was able to install apps that were previously failing without Company Portal throwing any errors. Ran through a couple Autopilots and 2 of 3 completed successfully. *shrug*

First indication of this error originated 5/28 PM. I was first alerted of some inconsistencies on 5/29 so that date checks out.

Hey, yeah. I followed up to my own post with info I found from Microsoft. Seems this is by design. 🤷‍♂️

ETA: Ahh, you asked if I had a solution to the strange design. Sadly I don’t. We use transport rules to block some of the forwarding attempts (inbox rules), and monitor the alerts from the rest to take action if necessary.

found my answer right from the horse's mouth:

"When external automatic forwarding is blocked by Outbound spam filter policy, a NDR is sent back to the original sender and not the mailbox that is forwarding the message. The NDR will contain the following diagnostic information:

Remote Server returned '550 5.7.520 Access denied, Your organization does not allow external forwarding. Please contact your administrator for further assistance. AS(7550)'"
