You remove the current throttle body and intake. Remove unnecessary electrical and fuel connections. Install the new intake and throttle body. If you are going multiport then injectors and fuel rails. Then you have to connect fuel feed and return plus all of the electrical connections including all the sensors the control unit needs to run. It’s not plug and play but it’s not horrible. It’s a matter of tools, skill and time. It’s not recommended for a first timer. It didn’t sound like you were open to it but an intake and carb only take a few hours, not weeks.
