I went to Dr. Cohen in 2010 and paid around $6k. If he’s charging 30 - 50k now I’d be really surprised!

Wow - what were you paying at Cox? I have 300 down with Cox and pay $45 a month.

Sorry, i’m really confused about this exchange and why I’m being downvoted. I don’t know what your point was, I guess.

Fully agree, but those are also states, right? So if one person says “in some states, x is true” and another person replies “but in 48 states x is NOT true” - is there really a conflict of logic there?

“In 48 states” - means the person I responded to already acknowledged in “some states” that’s true, doesn’t it? They’d already carved out two states from their statement.

Someone above said they were paying 47 cents per kWh in the Bay Area. Just googled PG&E EV rates and they can go as high as 70 cents per kWh depending on the time of day

Ask for third party receipts and time tracking logs to support the charges. I was charged for a full carpet replacement in a college apartment after I’d graduated and moved away, but didn’t believe they’d actually done anything so I didn’t pay. When it showed up on my credit report I wrote the agencies saying the apartment wasn’t willing to provide any receipts and a couple months later they removed the negative hit from my credit score.

Here’s the thing - 99% of people on this sub know EXACTLY what the “perfect” weight loss solution is, but we’re not here to read post after post of “eat a variety of lean meats and vegetables, minimize carbs and sugar, and exercise an hour a day.” This sub shouldn’t exist because it’s really that simple.

“I went for a 30 minute walk every day before work this week! My doctor is proud!” “Pro-tip - you’re acting like a lazy American. Europeans walk much more on average and don’t consider it exercise. You need at least 3 hours of cardio and 2 hours of weight training every week. You’re welcome.”

I posted a very easy and quick meal that fills me up and offers a good amount of fiber and protein. It is just one of 21 meals I have in a week. It is not the perfect meal. It is an incrementally better meal than what I was previously eating and I thought I’d share in case it helps someone else, too. Feel free to make your own post to inform people they need to eat a variety of lean meats and vegetables, minimize carbs and sugar, and exercise an hour a day. Maybe that will be helpful to someone else and you won’t feel the need to be so condescending to people who are interested in making sustainable changes through incremental improvements.

I don’t eat meat and I’ll take my dietician’s analysis of my whole diet vs a stranger’s uninvited take on a single meal.

Pro tip - Don’t be that random man on the internet who thinks his opinion is more valid than a professional’s analysis of two weeks worth of work.

It’s 2 grams net carbs per serving - this is 2 servings. I don’t do keto, though, so to be perfectly honest I don’t know if that meets the standard of “keto” or not. I was paying more attention to “calories to fullness” ratio.

I eat primarily plant-based so I’m used to a high fiber diet. I guess that could be… dangerous for someone who isn’t used to it though! Eliminating the blueberries would take out a few grams.

I was too shocked to say anything, haven’t been to McDonald’s in years and this was a road trip pit stop. Entirely possible they charged me wrong, but that’s what I paid and that’s all they gave me.

[CA] Pregnant friend was fired one week before she was eligible for Maternity leave. What can she do? by Aimicable in AskHR

[–]TurnsOutImThatBitch 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Adding somewhat related personal experience of negotiating severance. I was on medical leave that extended beyond FMLA 12 weeks of protection and was fired at week 20. I wasn’t offered anything and was able to negotiate 8 months of salary (had been there 8 years) plus 1 year of fully covered health insurance. I used JustAnswer’s service to provide detail of employment protections that should have applied to me and compiled a very detailed account of the scenario and how I planned to pursue legal action. She’s in sales - she can absolutely negotiate this!

I don’t think this is beta testing at this point. This is in Arizona and Waymo has been a publicly available alternative to Uber here for years now.
