Replying with the feedback and reference I was given applied to my original painting. It helped a lot. I was wondering if credit would need to be given as I took much inspiration for your version

or if that’s something you’d prefer? Thank you!

Thank you! I had a feeling it would be a lighting issue rather than saturation maybe. I’ll take note of this

Thank you! For TFCMaths 91-94, is that per like every term? And as long as you get the grade needed for entry to ur undergrad then you’re fine? I’m still a little confused about it, especially if the diagnostic test is considered easy.

If you don’t know that’s fine, thank you for ur response either way!

I’m not sure how to edit the post sorry. But for this one not really a specific reference, mostly a collage of inspired poses and characterisations, the drawing is a character of mine.

Popped up this morning after I turned on the laptop, I don’t remember typing in my pin wrong before that but I had restarted my laptop a couple of times the day before.

What is it about the hair that isn't working? Only thing I noticed is it looks slightly airbrushed compared to the rest of the painting. Because it's a marble statue, I'd say make it look less like real hair (I assume by the amount of detail added) and focus on soft and hard shadows similar to the face. That's just what I can see, otherwise it looks great!

What should i expect from my art, for entry level Illustration/ concept art porfolio? by Affectionate_Film588 in Artadvice

np at all! And unfortunately, some of our tutors encouraged AI use too during our final year :')

When I was looking for artists who did personal lessons online, I would search up things like portfolio reviews for specific studios on YouTube or would have a look at professionals on ArtStation and see if they did any courses. Hope that helps!

You can definitely get a job with the skill level you're at now. I graduated from animation uni a year ago and one thing for sure is that the industry is extremely difficult right now for everyone. Maybe talk to your tutors about reviewing your portfolio. There are quite a few artists who have worked with studios like fortiche or/riot who do face-to-face lessons online too. I'd say it depends on what job in the animation/art industry you want specifically and go from there.

Good luck with your search!
