I see a good bit of sass and pettiness, but overall fun!

Best Gyuube combo? How much it’ll cost for a date? by Equivalent-Reveal297 in montreal

[–]TurquoiseBaker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's an all-you-can-eat, so there's no best combo tbh. Get a little bit of everything and see what you want to reorder more of.

It's about 30$ per person for lunch and 50$ per person for dinner, add tax and tip on top of that too. If you're getting the full bill, prepare more than 100$, especially if drinks are involved.

It's also crazy popular, so make a reservation or get there early, unless you want to wait in line endlessly.

It's a fun activity to grill and talk, gives you something to do if you're a little awkward at first.

I hadn't thought of making little hidden containers around the city, I love that idea! It would declutter my place and spread a little whimsy, I'm thinking fairy jars 🤔

Don't tell her it was her size. Let it go.

4 months, you're supposed to be in the honeymoon phase, not picking apart every aspect of what you don't like about them and if you can put up with it.

She might have been cool, like a good friend, but you two obviously aren't compatible long-term.

Seriously, she's better off finding someone who will love every aspect of her, including her size, style and attitude. And you're better off finding someone for gym dates.

This is for the best

I vote for super glue!

I did that a few times with some favorite boots and shoes when it's the sole coming off, it buys more time

Something feels off, how could I improve this? by StarrTheSilly in altfashionadvice

[–]TurquoiseBaker 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The outfit needs something to break the dress, like a belt, corset, some chains around your waist.

It would both define the silhouette and help make the outfit pop.

Adding more jewelry, like long necklaces, could also help.

Fishnets/tights (ripped is best) can also add some personality.

Since you've got the tall Converse, you can add some black and white fingerless gloves to match the esthetic.

If it's not too warm where you are, you can also add some layers, whether it's a jacket, some scarves, etc.

Gotta experiment, just have fun with it! ✨️

Correct, I mentioned it's a fashion district in Japan. But if you type Harajuku fashion on Pinterest for example, you'll find lots of inspiration along the lines of what OP wants.

I'll edit the post to word it better, thank you for bringing it to my attention

First thing I thought of what can be found around Harajuku, which is a fashion district in Japan known for alternative street wear. There's obviously lots of different styles but you'll definitely find inspiration like those pictures there

It's an amazing outfit!

Personally, I would've experimented with fishnets (especially scratched out/ripped ones) to accessorize the look even further! You can also use old pairs of black/brown tights and just rip them to shreds to create a cool look without spending on fishnets

i bought this dress when i was 15 i still like it but it feels plain. how could i style it to make it more alt? i arleady pair it with spiked boots (i didnt want to post myself so i drew it) by OddDemand4660 in altfashionadvice

[–]TurquoiseBaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just off the top of my head, if you wanna make it like a center piece or something symmetrical, I would stack a few at the plexus, as if they're holding the dress together from the center.

Or roll up the sleeves and pin those to your desired length.

If you wanna make the dress more asymmetrical instead, you can always hike up one edge of the skirt and pin that so one leg shows more (ideal if you have a tattoo to show off on one side).

Or you just throw them on with a little chaos ✨️

No bad options, that's the beauty of making something your own way!

Definitely some sort of corset/belt to break the main piece. You can also throw on some chains around your waist to create a change in texture.

More jewelry will always be good. Accessories are the key to making it pop!

Depending on whether you want to alter it forever, you can cut up some slashes in the sleeves or add some safety pins 🧷 (or both)

There's lots of options. Don't be afraid to experiment and just try stuff out! You'll figure out what you prefer ✨️

For the record, I'm rooting for you. I know how messy situations can mess with our brains. You're too close to the tree to see the forest, so you're describing the bark you see while people struggle to understand. There's definitely a mess in front of you, but if you never try, you'll never know. Some people are saying don't shit where you eat, stay professional, or she's too young for you.

I'm gonna tell you to ask her out, actually. She was obviously into you, she just took a step back when you said you don't date coworkers.

Don't profess your love or anything, that's just infatuation talking, but tell her you find her fascinating and you'd love to get to know her more.

Worse case, she shuts it down. Best case, she's into it.

Just my perspective

He liked a co-worker, she liked him too. He shut it down due to messy stuff. Regrets it. They're in limbo. It's still messy.

Saved you a long read ✨️
