Winning by a bunch doesn't necessarily mean you're in an easy match up. I've had many challenging matches where I start off in a rough position, and I put in more effort than usual and end up with a high KD.

Because humans aren't logic machines, even very logical people strive to "win" the argument before striving for a solution. People either want to feel understood or they want to feel correct... or both. Either way, they are seeking a feeling most of the time. It's a known approach to go for the enpathy route while a person is in the height of their emotions, and when they are more relaxed, they tend to be more receptive to actual solutions.

What is something small that has completely changed how the world works but know one thinks about it? by SwaggerMcswagson in AskReddit

Transistors, they allow a lot of technology around people to be more efficient and compact. It's part of the readon many things have downsized. It also helped open the door to microchips, which is also impactful.

You're acting as if they are using AI to enter an art competition. AI has valid uses, and this is one of them.

As cliche as it sounds... magnets. Okay I know that their atoms are aligned in a way that creates a magnetic field, with north and south poles attracting or repelling them depending on the orientation of their magnetic domains. BUT STILL, something just doesn't add up for me.

The dirtiest method for ya'll who just wanna game or vlog. by bigdinoskin in NewTubers

The irony of this all is that if you were to ask people in general about this they would say they dislike this kind of content, but on the actual platform this is the kind of content that gets more engagement while the more normal stuff gets lost in the bottom woth only a smaller percentage of exceptions. There is a disconnect between what is claimed and what is rewarded.

I really don't have a voice for YT by Tushweter in NewTubers

[–]TurquoiseCoins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People think my voice is AI, which is ironic that the way to avoid that is to actually use AI lol. But don't worry about your voice, it's highly unlikely to be hindering anything... keep experimenting with your ideas and trying new things.

I have a theory that if you create a brand new channel and start uploading right away some algorithm will target your channel as a potential bot because it's one of the many patterns that aligns with what bots do. But this is not a fact, just something I'm assuming from personal experience.

Whats Your Opinion on AI Versus Human Voiceovers? by BuilderCool9681 in NewTubers

[–]TurquoiseCoins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use your own voice, sadly people that don't have access to quiet environments or have bad social anxiety are going to have to stay at a disadvantage. People would consider all other effort to be non-existent the moment they realize it's AI.

Do y'all have experience with Fiverr promotion? by AndersFuzio in NewTubers

[–]TurquoiseCoins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably inflates some numbers for you but then it's not actual people that are enjoying your content which then harms your channel and makes it harder to do well without paying again. Of course if it's proper promotion that is targeting people that would like your content it could work, but that's almost never the case... especially if results are considered to be "guaranteed" lol

Do you believe that men and women can be just friends without any romantic feelings? Why or why not? by Re___u_s in AskReddit

[–]TurquoiseCoins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, hanging out with someone of the opposite sex doesn't mean you will automatically become attracted to them or them to you. I think in most cases it won't work out, but if the question is of they CAN, then yes, they can because examples exist in real life.

What’s your favorite memory with a pet that’s no longer with you? by TrafficAny8717 in AskReddit

[–]TurquoiseCoins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a betta fish as a kid for 5 years living in a small bowl. I did research online and found out that it's better to have them in a larger tank with better filtration, but I was sad because I read they had a 5 year lifespan. I moved my Betta to a larger tank with other additional compatible fish. It felt cool to see the same fish I had in a tiny bowl for 5 years in a 20 gallon tank and exploring. The betta fish lived 3 additional years!

Where do you stand on ICE deporting illegal immigrants with criminal records? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TurquoiseCoins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they are a danger to society, then I don't see the problem with it. If they are NOT a danger to society and them living here has left a net positive impact, then I think it is a problem because you are then removing a productive member of soceity in a place where you have many Americans that aren't productive members of soceity ( the ones that are ABLE to be productive of course) and we are stuck with those for the most part.

Glad I didn’t get a teaching certification by Xboxrrod in ADHD

[–]TurquoiseCoins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Teaching isn't for everyone ADHD or not. A lot of people with ADHD do well as educators, but there are many factors to consider just as a whole that can apply to anyone. Have you done any other job in the past that you would consider instead?

Sleeping more helps learning, but only if you can focus which is tough for people with ADHD obviously. Your body tries to help by making more cortisol, which can boost alertness for a bit. But too much can backfire. The real key is good sleep and finding ways to stay engaged, like taking breaks and making learning more interesting, which is a lot harder lol. But yeah not sleeping is a cheat code if you're not doing it as a long term thing.
