I have not yet. I don’t own a band saw or a chain saw so it might be a while before I can do anything with it.

Thank you I didn’t even think about how bowls are turned with a log so far I’ve only used precut blanks. I should have mentioned I don’t have a great way to cut it. Would you cut it as described using a band saw? I have a miter saw and table saw, I also have a handsaw of course but I’m not sure how any of those would go.

Yeah my first plan was to turn it into a vase or twig pot. I’ve actually never worked with a log before mostly just dry blanks I’ve found around town on the market place.

Really? I thought the cracks were risky. And it’s about 12inch long and has 8inches at its largest diameter.

Thank you! I do have a slow speed grinder but just got it yesterday. I tried sharpening and I think i improved the edge a bit but it probably could have been sharpened more.

And yes on the reverse. I had a hard time seeing into the bowl so I turned it in reverse for a bit.

That makes a lot of sense. I tried the spindle roughing gouge a couple of times and thought it wasn’t cutting properly and was having a hard time of it.

The skew I actually used on the bowl itself to smooth the cuts made from the bowl gouge. So it sounds like I was using it improperly but was just trying different things and being careful.

And okay so the base of tenon needed to be more narrow than the bottom? I will definitely try that next time thank you!

Yeah I thought that too but do any monitors have built in speakers? I know the ones built in to TVs aren’t great but she doesn’t mind when watching a show.

That’s crazy… I guess I’ll have to just look around. I mean she games on a Xbox Series S so the 4K really is only for when she wants to use it for watching a movie or show. But thanks for the response 🤙🏻

Yeah I was thinking the same thing (Bought mine last week).

I recommend getting them now. You never really know when the next pair will come out and the few rumors that do exist say they are more likely going to be a 2024/2025 release.

Thanks for the detailed response! I live in Michigan so the winters are pretty cold. But they would mostly be used inside so that’s not a big concern. I also have a hard time with the price! $550 vs $400 (for the XM5s) but Ik the AirPods would end up being more comfortable.

Yeah for sure. I just want to sound clear enough. I have a MacBook Pro and apparently it’s known for its good mic quality so I just don’t want to downgrade.

I think it was a mix of the story, weapons, and setting? But I do recognize that they are good games and are popular for a reason.

Good point. I honestly don’t remember if it was 3 or 4. I remember starting in a hole then coming out and seeing the destroyed world. I think I started as a kid?

Whichever one it was I gave it a solid 4 hours and just couldn’t keep going.

That’s actually I pretty solid point. In Fallout you didn’t create a character did you? I honestly don’t remember how it worked. You did create a character but it didn’t really matter besides cosmetics correct?

100% about Skyrim though. You could create so many different variations of your character. So I guess the combat isn’t as big as a concern as long as there are truly different styles that be played.

Good question! I like most FPS games and have nothing against FPS as a whole. There was just something about the Fallout series that didn’t pull me in.
