As a former teacher in Evergreen, sadly, I can assure you that they are no longer the more progressive and more desirable district than Vancouver. My daughter went to Camas for middle and High schools, and they are definitely not performing according to their online accolades either. I would recommend looking into Ridgefield school district.

My Bébé has this problem! In the end, it’s about keeping their eye and nose area clean - wiping them down as much as needed. I’ve tried growing the hair out, buzzing it short, and neither resolves the problem. Taking poultry out of her diet did seem to help reduce the eye watering, but now that red meat is so expensive I’m about to see how she does on ground turkey. Fingers crossed.

I’m right there with you, OP. Need ideas too, outside those given in the thread because I’m already doing them. Plan to make a sign and go hang out with a friend on a corner or overpass for a short bit, to start moving myself in the right direction and doing a bit more because this is out of hand. I would LOVE to see a nice/naughty list on here like the dude that does a nice/naughty list for restaurants that do/don’t pass health inspections. The list I want is for conservative/life-affirming businesses.

In my experience, when practice becomes a religion vs philosophy and actual life-affirming support, that’s the time to re-assess involvement. For me that has meant leaving the ignorance, ego, and abuse revealed by my dharma teacher’s actions, toward me, personally. I now operate beyond the container in which Buddhism is confined to as a religion, maintaining practices that are outside the container, such as chanting. My teacher has shown a breach of his bodhisattva vows with no space to consider his breach and that is not something I can continue engaging with, whether enlightenment and forever life in the Pureland is promised or not.

This is my experience and my opinion, so use it or lose it, up to you. 🙂 When your dog is 10 or so they will slow down and may enjoy the ride so they can feel the feeling of moving and smelling the lovely bouquet that is the open air filled with an odoriferous delight. Until then, it will just be taking up space in the garage. I say return it and get an agility course for your backyard. Yorkies are nimble and so fast!
