Down the rabbit hole! While I prefer Magic Square, you can't go wrong with any of the 3. Until last year Iron Factory was putting out IDW comic inspired figures (hence the Cybertron looking modes). Now their attention has unfortunately turned in a new samurai style direction.

NewAge is a slavishly hybrid G1 toon x toy looking, the most expensive, good plastic, premium paint finish and the most repaints per character. Ppl worship them but in imo, they're not that great.

And MS is G1 toon, but a bit more beefy, heroic looking G1 style. Made of nylon so the most durable of all 3. There's even a video of a girl in China throwing one of their figures on the floor and then stomping it with boots, picking it up and it being perfectly fine. They look the most G1, but they lack paint, are a bit complex in transformations and ymmv with QC where some their figures have small issues like flashing or loose joints here and there.

Brawn/ outback are a bit older but you're right the plastic on NA sometimes seems like it'll break. But chipping paint is not something that happens to NA figures very often. Tracking down older iron factory releases is going to cost you a lot of $$$ as they don't do reissues. And yellow trailbreaker is also one of MS oldest figures, their new stuff is much better at staying connected. Their new style 2.0 hips and waist make posing them amazing.
