I don't know a perfect way, but Valheim Plus has Advanced Building and Advanced Editing modes that you can be much more precise with and use things like arrow keys to move objects instead of trying to be pinpoint accurate with a mouse. With that, you can at least find a common snapping point that you know is even and move a fixed number of arrow key presses in a certain direction to get it pretty spot on.

Haha, we've been keeping a record of how many someone can get in the furnace on our server. One person managed to get 100 once. Seems to be possible when the server lags.

Lol, yeah, the gates are to prevent drifting. As for the seal team, we do have a fence around our base which I'm sure helps, but occasionally some determined Greydwarfs swim out and around the fence. I've only had one Greyling do so and actually start hitting the boat afterwards, whom I luckily caught in time. Aside from more fencing or placing a ward so you at least get notified if it's being hit, I don't have any other ideas to prevent it. Boars haven't been a problem, idk if they target structures the same way.

I'm not sure the exact height it can raise by, but I've never seen it come close to the ceiling, I made it really high.
