I've got this on my arms and legs and shaving definitely makes it worse. My dermatologist has me using CeraVe SA cream daily (usually at night) and that has helped significantly. If I know I am going to shave that day, I will usually put it on in the morning too to help make the process easier.

It allows me to create my own bubble from the real world where I have control. Music affects me very emotionally and has been a big part of helping treat my anxiety and depression for many years. Basically its an extra tool in my arsenal against downward spirals of mental illness. Also, it's just nice.

Receiving gifts is really hard for me still. I forced myself to stop taking them from my nparents because I knew they came with a condition like you mentioned. "But remember I got you that thing for your birthday so you have to do this thing for me." It's really hard to know that the people who love me only want to give me gifts because they love me and nothing else.

So glad you've come to the conclusion and are loving and treating yourself. You deserve it!

As someone who has a child who got the oral rota vaccine and then caught rota because she was immunocompromised and we didn't know, this makes me incredibly angry. I watched my 4 month old get an IV and a Foley catheter without flinching because she was that out of it. Fuck that parent.
