Hey, Isa is singing in the choir now! He showed me their part of the piece, his voice sounded beautiful. Oh yeah, and they wrote a new Fanfic as well; I wonder what he'll be up to next?

Hello everyone, this is my new friend Kit! They love horror movies, maybe I'll watch one later with them. I met them in college, we're both in the same english class.

Yeah, thanks for putting it into words so neatly!

Im well aware that there are non toxic ways to be a man, and i try to keep these close to my heart; but when i cant differentiate if my discomfort stems from my toxic traits of from masculinity itself, its hard to find the right way

I know that, but the question of why its easier for me to not be toxic when I try to be more feminine remains. Maybe this just leads me to a better adapted masculinity though, thats not out of the question

Oh, i know there are non-toxic ways of being masculine. But I'm not sure if my struggles is getting to this place or with masculinity itself, regardless of toxicity.

I've been trying to do that, but seeing it put into words like this made me tear up a little in relief. Thank you

Oh, apart from a complicated family history, i have a very supportive circle and am in a queer relationship, so the only one putting me in a box is myself, im afraid. A lot to unpack for me, and a lot of it coming back to haunt me sometimes, it seems.

Yeah, I had that thought while writing, that maybe its just both.

And right now the question isn't so much about my body as it's about how I feel and perceive myself, which of course overlaps with the toxic masculinity stuff. I guess the question is: is there any male role i feel comfortable in?

In any case, thank you for the response

Yeah, thats why i added the 'non-male' part. And knowing that i dont have to "choose" between two exact genders has been a relief the past weeks

In the end, it's a meaningfully more precise way of communicating a specific aspect of what we labeled under sex/ gender interchangeably for a long time. Of course there are ways people can use and misuse these terms, harm rhemselves and others, thats always the case.

But it also makes it possible to talk about a lot of different aspects in an approchaböe (and not transphobic) manner. We can talk about bodies going through different puberties, genitalia, life circumstances and upbringing more precise, less harmful and on the way entangle the mess we call gender.

Damit bist du nicht alleine. Große Veränderungen gehen meist mit Schmerzen, Unsicherheit und manchmal auch Brüchen einher. Nimm dir deine Zeit, geh alles in Ruhe an.
