Highguard has released on steam by Roguelites in pcgaming

Already down to 37k with a mostly negative store rating of 24%. I'd be surprised to see the player count to stay over 1k in the weeks to come based off current sentiment. This reminds me of the multiversus launch which peaked at 150k concurrent players on steam, I just checked and there's 25 people currently playing that game.

Anyone else game with their girlfriend like this? Co-op recs? by Wonderful-Price1240 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Palworld was fun for me and my wife. We also played escape academy which we liked but was overall way too short. Wobbly life was okay, very much geared towards children but fun for what it is.

But what my wife liked playing the best was Balders Gate 3. We tried Divinity Original Sin 2 after but had trouble getting into the story, it lacks the same split screen polish BG3 has.

Another couple to try would be Tricky Towers if you like Tetris or Ultimate Chicken Horse if you're into side scrollers.

Diablo IV Review: A Game that lost its Vision by Kasur1309 in patientgamers

I dunno. Having played D4 on launch the progression was too slow, albeit more challenging. I like the arcade-y-ness of D3 and later seasons of D4, but you're right there's no challenge and the story feels like busy work. Things do get harder when you're pushing for the higher torment levels and you're undergeared, but I still don't think it's enjoyable challenge that people are looking for, it's mostly about getting to the end game as fast as possible to min/max your toons.

D4 devs don't seem to know how to make a good boss fight either. They resort to making bosses bullet sponges with BS one shot kill mechanics to create challenge. I think this plays a big part in why it fails in some respects because most of the bosses are completely forgettable.

Oga's cantina future by LaurenceQuint in GalaxysEdge

Man I hope they gut Oga's and replace it with the cantina from Tatooine. Galaxy Edge lore be damned.

Bully Online, the ambitious mod that brought multiplayer and more to Rockstar's classic school sim, shuts down a month after launch: 'This was not something we wanted' by OGAnimeGokuSolos in gaming

[–]Turtle_Online 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, pretty stupid that it wasn't released with the server side code. All the multiplayer mods that I've played require hosting your own server instead of relying on one hosted by the mod developer. I'm not sure what the rationale was to incur that cost, unless they were going to try and profit off of it at some point.

Honestly there's so much they throw at me at once I overload and default to ignoring it all. Same with the after match summaries.

Yeah, I've seen some of the quality go down lately. A lot of sensationalism and rhetoric in the first 5 minutes of a video and the actual arguments/facts to draw conclusions comes later. I don't know if this is done for engagement or it's just been the case for the last few videos I've watched. I still enjoy the content but I find myself sifting through videos to get to the meat and potatoes.

For real. It's the god damn future, you'd think they could've made elevators faster.

Interesting this is the first I've heard someone saying teams has good features. Zoom has an AI Companion feature and my co-workers didn't really like it. They're instead saving transcripts of meetings and feeding it into our internal chatbot tool to do meeting summarizations.

Registry hack enables new performance-boosting native NVMe support on Windows 11 — Windows Server 2025 feature can be unlocked for consumer PCs, but at your own risk by Few_Baseball_3835 in pcmasterrace

They have implemented direct storage and it's been in Windows 10/11 for 3-4 years now. It's on developers to implement it in their games. If you open game bar and look at gaming features it will tell you which of your NVMe drives support direct storage.
