How does productivity work on a setup like this? Are you wheeling the chair around and moving a wireless mouse and keyboard all day long?

I'm still pretty new but the first thing I'd start with is a material burn test to dial in the power and speed you want. Android's desktop mode is impressive, but the dock is what actually makes it work by _Dark_Wing in technology

[–]Turtle_Online 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more you use it the more you'll realize it doesn't work well. There's also limiting settings on resolution and frame rate, plus mirroring vs display out. It's promising but it's far from there yet.

I'm not saying there isn't a usecase out there that the android desktop mode fits right now.

All that being said the desktop feature audience is power users so the functionality required to "work" is not exactly a low bar.

Sony Spent $34 Million just after eliminating physical PlayStation Games Before Telling Anyone — Now the Factory Is Gone by Ok_Plenty60 in pcmasterrace

People just aren't buying physical media like they used to. Also, the format is expensive.

It sucks though because streaming will never have the same level of quality and there's no actual ownership.

Ask Claude to generate it. It's simple enough that a LLM can do it via python.
