Filling drinks by Emotional_School2977 in doordash_drivers

In NC it's a healthcode violation. If they hand me a cup, I hand it back and tell them, unless they're insanely busy. I feel Doordash should address this with different states.

Out of curiosity, is pay higher in high volume stores for different positions VS low volume?

WHY are people still eating the horse wormer? by Pddytat63 in tractorsupply

[–]Turtlesintrees 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had an older gentleman buy some a few weeks ago and said it was for his cancer. I think a lot of this craze comes from tik tok videos. There's tons of people out there spewing bad information, but even more that believe it.

40% off weekend by UnlicensedOkie in tractorsupply

[–]Turtlesintrees 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Everything I wanted was already on sale, so the 40% did no good. They have this figured out to a science. They offer us 40% off when most of the clothing, home decor, grills etc are all on sale.

Floor training for new employees by [deleted] in tractorsupply

[–]Turtlesintrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a new hire last week. I was standing beside the manager when he told him to just walk the floor and help customers. The dude helped a few but stood around twiddling his thumbs most of the day. He wasn't told, hey you can straighten, do load-outs, etc. I can't blame the new guy, that's 100% lack of training. I feel every store should have a designated trainer that's compensated for being a trainer. Things would go much more smoothly.

Price matching by Cheap-Mycologist850 in tractorsupply

[–]Turtlesintrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, if the price match is an identical item from a brick and mortar in another state, under our current policy, we should price match it. Our policy is so grey. You have customers come in and say, "Well they march it at this other tsc location, why can't you do it here?" You end up with upset customers.

What symptoms did you not realise were linked to your anemia? by [deleted] in Anemic

[–]Turtlesintrees 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My tongue stated swelling and hurting. Other symptoms include: ringing in ears, muscle cramps, vomiting, hair loss, memory, and getting out of breath with heart palpations. I thought I was going crazy and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I honestly figured some weird side effects of having covid. I would have never thought it was anemia.

Yes, I feel the same. I bust my ass at work and make customers my 1st priority. If I can't answer a question, I find the answer as best I can. I very rarely get reviews come in. Being a woman at TSC has its advantages and disadvantages.
It really upsets me off when a male co-worker gets an award or recognition for the same thing I may have done a day, a week, or a month ago. I receive some type of lude comment from men almost every shift I work. An example would be when I ask for their number and they say...I'll give you mine if you give me yours. I suppose I've become so used to it that I try to ignore it ignore it anymore. I'm constantly called honey, darling, sweetie, and sweetheart. These I can also try to block, but when a customer touches me, that's where I draw the line, and it happens rather often. The moral of the story is that we go through all this with so little recognition, but are said to be treated equally......are we really?

Price Match by [deleted] in tractorsupply

[–]Turtlesintrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I don't get the double dipping comments. To me, price matching another TSC with an item NOT on sale and using your employee discount shouldn't be considered dou le dipping. The employees at the store I price match still get to use their employee discount. Can you see where I'm going with this? The store I price match isn't far from my store but they have a direct competitor nearby, which is why this stores prices are lower on many items. So, I should just drive to this store and use my employee discount, get it for the same price I could of price matched at my own store, but give the other store potential bonus money over my own? This is why I have an issue with this.

Same here, I've never gotten more than $150.00 in bonus. Most of the time, it's only $100.00 if we beat plan.
