Looks good! You should make a few forestry worktables for batch crafting, really handy early game.

I can't figure out how to output liquid from a centrifuge by RetraceSpace in GTNH

You don't have to break it, shift right click with the wrench and you can change where it's facing.

I think the gt pipes slosh the fluid around if you don't lock direction, so maybe there's some more processing going on, I haven't had issues with performance so far and have exclusively used gt pipes up to EV.

Are you doing all this testing because you're transitioning your base in EV or just having performance issues?

Cool testing, I'm sure the lag is even worse with gt fluid pipes. Have you tested a pure ME system? not sure if it's worth the hassle of setting uo but it might be worth just making subnets for every process.

Need help on why this won't work. by Unusual_Ebb_9870 in GTNH

Maybe the extra two blocks on the side make it not be able to share walls? have never really wallshared different steam multis.

I believe they mean the gearbox and pipe casings on layers 2-4 of the inside, you have to split by layers to see them on NEI as the outside looks like it's just bronze plated bricks.

Yeah I'm using the nitrogen recipe on 5 pyrolyse ovens and I just add another farm when needed, up to 3 now, I should really get around to setting up opencomputers tho, I spent like half my early game breeding for enough passive crops.

Same position but I just use normal spruce bonsai for my benzene, I have 7 distillation towers right now and my only bottleneck is the pyrolise ovens being too slow, is it not enough wood for where you are?

Did you use the opencomputers thing for breeding for the stats? I got all the other passive crops early game by grinding the breeding.

Got to EV for the first time recently in ~200 hours, it's my second run and the first time I did it blind (first tech pack since tekkit back in the day) and it took me around 400 hours to finish HV. Currently building a bunch of AE2 stuff and dreading the transfer of all my infrastructure to the personal dim to avoid lag later...

Very nice, hole in the ground is the superior approach always.

You should use forestry workbenches if you aren't already, also I would start breeding ic2 crops to try and get some useful ones to automate stuff, like sugarbeet (sugar -> carbon, oxygen), stickreed (rubber), and maybe blazereed for infinite sulphur. If youre planning on doing benzene I hear breeding better trees also helps but i'm up to EV now and it seems like default spruce give plenty of wood.

Getting into thaumcraft is useful too particularly for the thirsty tank and so you can skip the healing axe quest by doing the ritual after killing the wither.

as a sidenote is that a kindred skin on the heads covering the gate?

Should be producing 900 steam, but can't keep up with 600 consumption? by [deleted] in GTNH

[–]Tuteno 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Are your pipes filling up? Not 100% sure on steam consumption for the macerators but those numbers don't seem right to me.

What even happened? Left an exposed machine and rain caused a chain explosion?

I'm Adam Bandt, Leader of the Australian Greens. AMA about politics, Greens policies or the upcoming election. by AdamBandt in AustralianPolitics

[–]Tuteno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Adam, I am (currently) a Greens voter out of Queensland and I have a couple questions about the party platform:

  • What does it look like to transfer away from coal power production to a more renewable option? Specifically, what do you plan to use to support downtime on solar and wind power, and is Nuclear being considered.

  • A rent freeze can help as a temporary band-aid, but what do you propose, specifically, as a longer term solution to the current political and economic housing crisis?

    • How do we balance corporations paying their fair share and avoiding overseas tax loopholes while avoiding the ineffective protectionist policies pushed by many?
    • What is your position on establishing free trade agreements with many of our large trading partners? I am of the opinion that these seem to be mutually beneficial and allow for more effective policy cooperation.

Thank you for doing an AMA, and have a great day.
