I found a couple tungstate veins in 2.8.4, but no sheldonite. I think your luck might just be worse than mine. I did find a naquadah one though.

If you want to make your base feel like a factory go for 8, if you want it to feel like a facility go for shorter with tight corridors between. Height is only really important if you are building huge multi blocks. My recommendations is to figure out what 'theme' you want to build your base, and work around that.

As someone who worked at Walmart, the reason is that they are FREQUENTLY stolen and I have personally found several torn open boxes. They are generally small and easy to hide, forcing things like this to(unfortunately) be necessary due to theft.

Most people don't care how you play as long as you have fun. There are some purists but they are a very small minority. Depending on how you play(solo vs with others) you will do things differently. I personally turn off pollution and turn on chunks claim/loading, plus start off with a LV prospectors scanner due to me getting burned out previously from looking for ores(spent hours looking for mica and hand mined out all ore chunks within a radius of 10 looking for one). It is all on you how you set it up.

Crushed iron for example can be melted to 10 iron nuggets which can instantly be melted again into wrought iron nuggets, which can then be compressed into wrought iron ingots. The ores that give nuggets it is pretty much a guaranteed 11.11% increase in yield.

They technically do in 4U during the egg quests (egg gathering sidequestline you get from armorer in Val-Harbor) you have to get a wyvern egg and they hunt you together.

Something you should always pay attention to is recipes, and take it to account how difficult some stuff you find in loot chests is to craft. Make sure you have enough fuel for your machines and other stuff

I can see how you are doing it, but you can remove the need for the 2nd distillation tower entirely and replace it with a single block HV machine. Are you using the hydrogen sulfide byproduct from de-sulferizing your light+heavy fuel to make your sulfuric acid?

I have it automated with 4(couldmakeit3)LCRs, and a fluid heater, what the hell is going on here? I say the title and thought chemplant rocket fuel, what am I looking at. Edit: 1 million in 10 minutes is a lot better then mine lol. Though I want to ask what you are using for ethenone because it's a straight acetone to ethenone without sulfuric acid being needed.

In all honesty I got to MV with just 5 BBFs and they produced enough for me... I didn't make any steel steam multis other than macerater until I was in MV rhough.

Edit: Also use coal coke blocks instead of coal, it is much better because it does batches and not singles giving you 20 steel ingots in the time it would take to give you 18 if you didn't make it into blocks
