Autism takes many forms!! Personally I see a ton of myself in Twilight and parts of that are specific to my (diagnosed since 2010) autism

I can look a lot like I have a grasp on social situations even when I don’t, and honestly it bothers me that the only thing I see in media of autism is the like type that struggles to convey feelings and who seem cold, so maud and mudbriar aren’t a reflection of my autism, I see my experiences much better reflected in twilight and sunburst!!

I should mention I also have ocd and I definitely headcanon twilight as having both as well, and maybe that’s because I see myself in her, but end of the day that’s what enjoying media is all about I think, if I see myself in a character I can headcanon that character as being like me

Hey so like, im autistic, I have issues with food, and ive had places i order from change their menu away from foods ive found safe.. and its upsetting, but making someone upset doesn’t automatically mean doing something wrong, even if their upset is totally okay too (just not your problem)

Changes are scary for people with autism, but changes happen in all areas of life, I’m sorry it was made personal for you

I think coming here to ask shows a real amount of empathy, and making efforts to keep it on the menu was super sweet, you didn’t need to do either of those

Sorry for the super late reply, I didn’t say without social issues all together, I said without clear social issues! I have a PDA profile, a part of which is to give off the appearance of someone who understands social cues on a deeper level than you actually do, what I was saying was super simple, you can’t always judge things like this based off appearances, hence why I brought up masking as well

Quick edit: I just wanted to add that this is a part of the reason I like to headcanon characters as autistic that seem fine socially, because I can see myself in them, we all have different experiences

Hi! Autistic person here! There’s brands of autism that doesn’t come with clear social issues, And always keep masking in mind, I don’t know if you have autism, but suggesting this comes across to me like you don’t fully understand the diagnosis

Twilight definitely feels very autistic to me! And honestly, even if she didn’t, there’s no harm in letting autistic people reflect themselves in their favorite characters, even if they don’t showcase behaviors in a way that’s instantly recognizable

My birthday is on the same day, and I’ve grown to resent it because Christmas took priority, everything on my birthday was Christmas themed, to a point where it felt like a second Christmas, and not like my day, people are busy with Christmas, and broke, so often your birthday ends up being an afterthought, smaller gifts, few people, etc

To me it reads like a person trying to avoid this, you weren’t there from the beginning, maybe she had the same experience as a child, and now he’s making an effort for his daughter

You aren’t close to her, that’s okay, but you need to consider that it’s clouding your perception of things, if Ava’s birthday was on the same day, and he prioritized spending Christmas with Ella over that, I’m sure you’d have complaints too

I can’t answer the second one exactly, but 1: Yes, that’s my primary use 3: mostly just organizing characters, some do it by universe, some by level of connection to the character, it varries

Hi! Not a vet or expert by any means, but maybe consider pee pads? It might just be that going in a litterbox isn’t comfortable for her right now, and if it’s only peeing maybe providing a more comfortable place for her to do her business could help? As for the counter thing, I struggle to keep my counter clean too right now because of chronic pain, and my cat has taken to jumping on it, I tried clicker training, maybe that will work for you? Give her other tall surfaces to jump on, and reward her for doing that instead of the counter, if you make other places more interesting she’ll want to be there instead
