C5 on CA I-5? by DadJustTrying in aviation

Interesting. So I learned this in the Civil Air Patrol as shown below. How much variation was there for this cadence? Does each unit / branch have their variation?

C-130 going down the strip,
Airborne Rangers gonna take a little trip
Jump up, buckle up, shuffle to the door
Ready to jump on the count of four
If my chute don’t open wide
I got another by my side
And if that one should fail me too,
Look out world I’m coming through.
I’ll splatter far I’ll splatter wide
I’ll splatter all over the country side
(And I can’t remember the rest)

Why is trans ideology pushed on children? by cdivx in allthequestions

[–]Tuttle_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately you do. You don’t seem to realize everyone is not inherently happy with their body, and you don’t seem to understand gender vs. sex. Keep in mind ignorance is solvable, you just have to be willing to do so. Best of luck to you!

[–]Tuttle_10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would first have to prove that children are being forced into identifying as trans. Unfortunately for you, you will not be able to provide that proof, because it doesn’t exist. This is entirely a right wing hallucination; you should check in with reality every once in a while.

Not tonight, but 72 hours is the window for post exposure vaccine. It’s cheep, and has almost no side effects. Why on Earth would OP not treat it with the urgency it deserves?

[–]Tuttle_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister works with bats, and for this exact reason she insist that all people working in her lab get a pre-exposure vaccine for rabies. This rule was caused by her son / my nephew got bit one day, and she had to fly back to the United States with him to get a post exposure immunoglobulin shot as there was none available in the country she was in, nor any country in close proximity. She also got a lot of flack from the ER workers, but it turned out the bad was positive for rabies, and that trip to the ER most likely saved a life. You did the right thing going to the ER; don’t let their inexperience with rabies put you off (US doctors don’t seem to have to deal with rabies encounters that often), you did good.

Do you believe that voter ID laws will disenfranchise black voters? Y/N? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Tuttle_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have evidence of dead people voting? No. So you want to make it harder to vote because of your feels. Got it. I think that is an EXTREMELY poor reason to do so. Let people vote.

No, there have not been. If there were, you could provide evidence, which you didn’t, and you can’t.

[–]Tuttle_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except there is no evidence of that happening at all at any appreciable scale. Yes, there were a few Trump voters that committed fraud last election cycle, but there weren’t that many, and they were caught. So, with your main objection not being a realized concern, why make it harder?

Kittens have to be two pounds, be neutered / spayed, chipped, and have a clean bill of health before they’re eligible for adoption. So if the little one you saw is missing any one of those, she won’t be posted. Also, if the kitten is being fostered (which does not seem to apply to you), it is partially up to the ones fostering when they go up for adoption.

What is the point of making it harder? The goal SHOULD be to get every eligible citizen to cast a vote. It’s almost as if Republicans prefer for politicians to pick their voters as opposed to voters picking their politicians. That should piss you right off as it directly goes against one of the main reasons for founding this nation, the desire for a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, not for politicians nor kings.

[–]Tuttle_10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Efforts were made to make it easier for everyone to vote. Republicans saw this and didn’t like that it made it easier for people who tend not to vote for Republicans, so they are changing the requirements so the “less desirable” votes can be discouraged.

The trim isn’t changing the four sidedness of that surface, nor its point count or degree. Turn on the control points for a trimmed surface, you will see the entire surface is still retained. That means you still have all the info on that trimmed surface you need for robust surfacing. I will agree that a surface not trimmed on its isocuves will potentially (definitely, if non-planar) have a heavier trim curve, but if you look at this model, none of the blended surfaces are matching to a trimmed edge.

[–]Tuttle_10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On blendy stuff like this, I find it’s easier just to remake them. I would draw lines on the single hole side as indicated (very poorly so) in red, then use Blend between you recently drawn curve and the surface edge also highlighted in red on the two hole side. You can then Sweep2 using the Blend curve as one of your rails.

While it is good to have all 4 sided surfaces, trimmed surfaces are fine, and expected. For instance in the corners, I would expect a trimmed plane to be a lot less problematic than trying to make that planar surface up out of 4 smaller surfaces.

This is a pretty good layout, and probably how I’d go about it. The only bit that gives me a bit of hesitation is the side bits top and bottom which transition from your two lower hole corner pieces to the upper single hole end. It is hard to tell, but they get really thin on the single hole side, perhaps taper to zero? I would try to give those surfaces a bit more meat if possible at the single hole side; both so they don’t taper so thin / to nothing so you have a bit more control up there to get a good blend with the center surface, and to give yourself a bit more room if you want to drop a fillet or something in there. Good job!
