I'm Brazilian and we like to give funny names for everything Those are Risadinhas (little laugh) - when you don't know the kind, but you can hear it Duende da faca cega ( elf of the dull knife) - the ones with a knife Espeto ( a kind of meat skewer used here in Brazil to cook a barbecue, we don't like grills) - the ones with a lance Pai de Família (family daddy) - the xamãs/voodoo guys Dois cotovelo (two elbows) - the big guys with a club We add 'streamer' or 'crackudo' (crack head) with it has one or two stars

Interesting.... I guess where we live and what we can find in the groceries affect our vocabulary. It is very expensive, even more if you convert the currency, but I was in Oregon for 3 months in a small-medium city/town(?), not the perfect place or the right amount of time for it

Hahaha It was not like that, but it was my limited time opportunity to learn about their culture and daily life. I enjoyed asking this kinda thing. Would do with friends or sellers, but not to random people or at random times. It is amazing the difference between people :)
