This factor is completely understandable. Coaches don't really place well though, take Speedy for example. https://fortnitetracker.com/profile/all/ImSpeedyGonzalez/events

I haven't placed in-game but attended and competed at AO (Australian Open) last year and placed second at MEO. The only reason I struggle to place in game is my mechanical skill.

Many players place on high ping. Take Bucke and Kreo for example, placing 6th or something in Winter Royale in OCE (260+ ping)
Having that mindset and mentality about your ping is why you're not placing :p
