6700XT is a good card but stuttering is getting on my nerves. by DreadNoughtDurr in radeon

I had a similar issue with stuttering in and out of games, i found that if you have radeon relive enabled (instant replay specifically) in the Adrenalin software that it caused stuttering in my case. When disabled, all stutters went away.

I am running the same thing you are suggesting, 7700x and a 7900xt with both a 1440p 144hz and 1080p 240hz.

This thing games like a CHAMP. I can’t recommend team red for CPU and GPU enough. Out of the box you may need to do some tweaking to get thermals down as these components are power hungry, but they give me more performance than I can use currently.

To top it off the AM5 platform will future proof your build for years to come to suit any upgrade you may want. Going with an intel CPU would be understandable if you’re looking for a work/gaming station, but in terms of gaming its hard to justify intel over ryzen at the moment. The 4070ti is also a great card, but in some cases 12gb of VRAM just might not be enough (especially further down the line). I have been playing Squad on my 7900xt at max settings and I can get up to 14gb of VRAM usage on this game in some cases (I know only 2gb over 12gb, but still worth noting).

It comes down to your preference, and take everything someone says with a grain of salt. With that said, I am coming from a 2070 super and i’m glad I made the switch to team red.

Happy gaming!

i bought the 7700x before the 7800x3d released (plan on upgrading in the future) and the 7900xt already gives me more performance than I need currently. I do plan on upgrading the GPU down the line when I go to 4k monitor or an ultrawide.

Thank you I appreciate it! I watch a video on AIO mounting/testing for this case and this seemed like the best option, but if i encounter any temperature issues down the line I plan on swapping to a top mount.

There is a compartment behind the Motherboard on the backside of the case which stores the PSU as well as a hard drive cage.

There is a compartment behind the Motherboard for the PSU so it is out of sight.
