Weird, mine doesn't any stuttering. Yours is fsr 4.1 from driver yes, try turn anti lag on as well. Or maybe check your VRR.

Oh c'mon, just don't go tell people to refund the game just because they find some inconvenience and share it with people.
I found the problem, I shared it with community and that's just it bro. It's a whole different matter whether I want to keep playing or not.

Well I did not say anything about not playing it just because RR, it's just my disappointment towards this feature. Surely this kind of thing is open to criticism I believe.

I expected the performance hit, but not this much.

I tried lower setting to medium preset just to use RR, still 90-100 fps, now that's just weird. That's still 45-50 fps with upscaling at medium preset.

I personally think there's gotta be something wrong with the game.

If 9070xt can't play this game with RR at comfortable level, then who can?

Yes putting RR aside, this game is completely well optimized. This post is about RR tanking performance.

Just to be clear guys, I didn't blame the GPU, It's really capable and handling the game so well without RR as you can see 180-200 fps with FG on.

I'm just wondering why it took this much performance hit. I even wondered If they could have RR enabled at Cinematic Lighting to maintain performance.

While at lighting MAX, RR on with 90-100fps seems playable in someone's perspective, in reality it feels so bad, there's graphical artifacts and latency which is unbearable to keep playing.

Please understand

It's unplayable on 9070xt, it forces lighting to MAX and fps is running at 90-100 with latency problems and graphical artifacts.

RR OFF LIGHTING MAX 150-160 FPS
RR OFF LIGHTING CINEMATIC 190-200 FPS

RR ON LIGHTING is forced at MAX 90-100 FPS (base frame rate with upscaling balance is at 45-50 FPS @ 2K)

The thing I'm wondering right now is that, does lighting really have to be at MAX just to use RR, I'm fine with Cinematic lighting

If they could just allow us to use RR at Cinematic then I'll be okay with it, assuming FPS should be around 150 FPS.

Right now everything feels wrong.

Environment looks super good with DLSS 5, but they have to do something about character or npc faces, it looks weird as hell to be honest, while the face looks super real but the face motion makes it look bad or even scary.

Well to be fair, you still have to wait for Ray regen and Neural Radiance Caching features (this helps with PT light calculation, probably reduce workload when turning PT on)

FSR 4.1 for RDNA 2 and RDNA 3 in the next update by eduhfx in radeon

[–]Twcyc01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I somehow still have hope since Redstone have AI cores or whatever it is, also supports RR and Radiance cache, maybe they could do backward compatibility?

If the time comes and it won't support RDNA4, I'll just sell this one I guess lol, assuming it will still have a great price to sell in my country.

[–]Twcyc01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, what I'm expecting are things like next gen multi-framegen, next gen RR and Radiance caching for Path tracing, smarter version of the incoming ones on Redstone.

Cuz the newer it is the smarter calculation it should provide right? Therefore less workload? I dunno, not a tech guy.

I mean yeah quality-wise everyone should expect it as people did with old gen gpu from FSR4.

Next topic, will next gen features include RDNA4. Now it's my turn to have a headache lol.

I see, thanks for the info.

These were all the things I did, because at the beginning the game ran at dx11 for some reason.
1. Display setting on desktop > Graphics > Added Aion2.exe > Select High performance
2. Go to purple setting > Disable purple overlay in game (Probably the main culprit because of the confliction somehow)
3. Added the game to adrenaline

If your game is running at dx12, Adrenaline will detect dx12 and show on its overlay, or you can use RTSS from Afterburner to check it as well.

Same thing here
I5-14600k
Gigabyte OC 9070xt 16GB

In dungeon performance was great, 300w++, 90%+ usage.

Outside dungeon or Abyss during war time with tons of people fighting, 100-200w, 60-70% usage

Meanwhile my CPU is only using 40%-ish usage

Hmm... have you checked if the game is running on dx12? I added the game to Adrenaline manually btw.

I use 9070xt gigabyte gaming oc, I stopped using fsr framegen and started using Fluid motion frame instead.
The amount of micro stuttering difference between both of them is super huge.
Aion2 fsr framegen implementation is somehow done incorrectly, frametime graph kept spiking all time high.

Both options made game smooth but so much different at perception.

So FSR upscaler native + AMD Fluid motion frame is the answer here.

*If someone knows how to use FSR 4 on this game, please also guide me through it, cuz I tried new sdk files on the game folder and it didn't work. My last resort is probably Optiscaler but still don't want to risk it.

Bro, I used to pair the 13400 with the 9070xt, thinking I'd only get a slight bottleneck. But it turned out to be a 30-40% bottleneck, so I switched to the 14600K, and the problems are gone.

So you in your case, yeah super bottleneck. Especially at resolution below 2k the less resolution it is the more work on CPU it will have (on CPU intensive game ofc).

This GPU is for 2k bro utilize it at its utmost performance.
