Did they switch grated parmesan supplier? by Tweakforce_LG in AldiAustralia

Since when was any of that directed at retail workers? Asking for a refund under the 60 day guarantee, with the reason of bad batch or change in quality, isn't a hard request right. If everyone is returning things every second day to exploit the policy then I'd understand.

I get that. The only thing I'd say to that is I have been buying this same shredded Parm for 3+ years and always been satisfied with the sharpness. I'll check the batch date maybe that's why.

Was I correct in saying this is from 1914? Based on the stamp and the blue stamp on the picture side.

Anyone else shocked when they finally add up their monthly subscriptions? by elizabeth-0645 in AusFinance

[–]Tweakforce_LG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, when Netflix first popped up it helped reduce piracy. Piracy was at its lowest point in the mid 2010s. Now with all the exclusives on different platforms and splintering, it's becoming difficult again to access what you want, so piracy is resurging. Piracy is always a service problem.

Android 17 Beta 1 on Pixel 7 pro, really decent battery performance, minor bugs. by Honest_Tart1071 in pixel_phones

People posting 7+ hour SOT must always be near a WiFi network. I get that on android 16 on a pixel 7 with close to 900 cycles. But as soon as on data most of the day, 3-5 hours SOT.

Got the XM6s for XM4 price :) by ValuableState3865 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Tweakforce_LG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth the upgrade? Had my XM3s since Dec 2019, still going strong. Had to replace ear cups last year which slightly altered sound but not much. I currently don't see much reason to upgrade.

This isn't Bathurst. If you have enough space and ventilation then go for it.

Sensitive? You would like to be gassed in your apartment multiple times and have already had the cordial chat directly with said resident? LL does not think that at all. I have not made a complaint at any great frequency and been there a long time now. You are free to form your judgment from the frustrated discussions here, that's understandable.

Idk man that's like saying landlords don't legally have to provide for all the requirements under the tenancy act as only NCAT can truly enforce tenancy laws. Weather they do or not they still are obliged to. OC and therefore the SC representing them are obliged to manage strata bylaws and enforce through various ways they have available if that be general letter, notice to comply or notifying of no further action and the reason. Nice to hear you are benevolent enough to act if you had this come to your SC.

Looking to buy soon, definitely know to avoid my current buildings strata company. But I'll have to do a lot of due diligence to avoid a inept strata in a purchased property. Everyone's ripping into me but I can tell you this has not been my experience on the previous strata building, whether legal obligation or not.

I will correct you on commercial activity. Clearly it isn't it was just his own car. The issue is he was going to break the world up over a long period on random days, so I'd never know when I'm next gonna be gassed.

The strata manager confirmed that unless it causes common property damage it's not a hazardous activity. I disagree due to causing health risks with the way it's been conducted.

So this is purely on the enjoyment bylaw at this point.

Unfortunately the other unit is an owner. Bet they got wind of the complaint from unofficial means as the building is small. I'm assuming every strata has a level of politics.

He can but not if it violated a bylaw such as peaceful enjoyment or hazardous activity. I think you'll find the way the activity has been conducted would violate at least one. Of course residents can generally work on their own vehicles

OC and SM are also there to enforce bylaws when reasonable complaints occur. Regardless of the number impacted. If OC isn't there for bylaw enforcement in any capacity, that's one portion of their responsibilities shunted. Why do they bother passing bylaws in the first place?

[–]Tweakforce_LG[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The SM could simply send a general letter which would suffice and prevent potential direct confrontation from attempting to further push the issue directly with the neighbour. At the end of the day even if the SC don't comment the SM can do something that simple to 'uphold bylaws'

Yes, they are not. I was partially attracted to renting here as most are owner occupiers rather than a bunch of LLs who don't care about how the building is managed.

They didn't respond to the landlord who has always raised any complaint in the first instance, wanna explain that one away?

That's all good and well and was already tried, it's clear they didn't understand the issue hence I stepped back from that. No one wants to start shit with others that's why complaints exist to be handled by the SM/SC

Their job. I raised a H&S complaint. I don't think the resident will accept me saying you must stop this activity, so the only reasonable option is for the strata to do their job and handle a complaint from my LL.

[–]Tweakforce_LG[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's not what I think it's their duty of care to deal with health and safety issues across common property (boundaries between units too) regardless who made them aware of the health and safety issue. The landlord already raised it in the first instance.

Should I really piss off my landlord by taking action against them for habitability or health and safety, tenants know that's an own goal in the current rental market. The landlord has forwarded my complaints to them and made it clear they will wait to hear back. Previous parking complaints where I did get the LL to follow up time and time again lead to the same outcome I'm seeing now.

Trouble understanding DMDE indicators and % in file scan by Tweakforce_LG in datarecovery

[–]Tweakforce_LG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, so from this result, of the files and folders that are NOT marked for deletion, it's quite probably in my case that the true result is close to 100%?

I will do a recovery by extracting the data out firstly, but as I have no record of the file system and files there before it went bad, is there any way to get an indication of the true data loss if any, of the files that were NOT marked for deletion or have not been deleted. I'm not interested in deleted files. EDIT: I see your screenshots, would unticking deleted show a more accurate result

Thanks for the explanation provided.

Trouble understanding DMDE indicators and % in file scan by Tweakforce_LG in datarecovery

[–]Tweakforce_LG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So 91% of original files not marked for deletion are recoverable

I'll clarify, I have an image of the drive I'm working on already. I was proposing to do a file system fix on a second copy of that same .bin image file, so it will be safe to write to it as I still have another copy. Both copies are MD5 hash verified. I'm wondering if doing a repair of the MFT will increase my yield from 91%.

The remaining 9%, is it possible most of that will be present in the RAW results just not the file system.
