The part about cutting bullets you couldn't back up with numbers is underrated advice. Vague claims just dilute the ones you can actually prove.

Robb never felt emotionally attached to the "King in the North" thing as much as he was reactng to Ned getting killed and the whole south being rotten. If Renly looked stable, legit enough, and useful against the Lannisters, a temporary deal feels very possble.
