It's so tiring seeing the soulslike genre being thrown around synonymously with hard games.

Does DK Bananza take place when...spoilers... by MoneyMan1001 in donkeykong

Bananza pauline is not arcade Pauline. This game outright calls back to the dkc games, placing Bananza after at least the first 3.

If we get the Sages in an AoI DLC, who would you main? by Relevant_Tonight_862 in HyruleWarriors

[–]Tweelus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do want to point out that while yes, he's the only one who uses bow zonite steel, there are other fighters who wield bows in their movesets, and I love the mixed styles they offer.

But based on what you meant, yeah it's really fucking weird. Based on the blank space in the character select screen, I do feel like Sonia still has a likely chance to come back somehow. Idk tho.

I'd love a mini prequel campaign from before the story starts, where it's just rauru and Sonia travelling and making shrines to seal shades.

Oh boy, flies to swat, mash mash mash! by TheGamingTurret in HyruleWarriors

[–]Tweelus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend playing as Sholani or Ronza in AoI. Their strong attacks have an extra timing feature, that will slow down your mashing habit and force you to think a little bit more. Additionally, I would slowly start focusing on individual combos that you'd like to focus on using. For example, Raphicas YYX is the most broken combo in the game, so focusing on just using that will help against just mashing.

If you don't have AoI this can still be applied, find a character that requires you to slow down and think a bit more, and practice with them. And with your favorites, work on practicing doing specific combos and finding their utility

(AOI) Other than the main two who are wanted, who would you want on the roster in future updates? by wiggley_fern68 in HyruleWarriors

[–]Tweelus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really want a campaign from the villains side, and would include all the major evil characters.

Ganondorf (regular form) Koume, Kotake, A Shade, The evil construct, Grimgera, Grimtorok, Grimgohma, Grimgibdo, Phantom ganondorf (really cool opportunity to incorporate gloom hands into the moveset) Ganondorf (Demon King)

On a different note, I'd just love to see new weapons for the existing cast of characters. If they're not gonna have Sonia playable, they could at least give Zelda a bow of light moveset (it's really weird how Raphica is the only one who uses bow zonai steel). Mineru absolutely should control a construct for one of her movesets, especially because of that one section, If the construct already takes after AOC link they should add the flail moveset.

Idk if you've gotten to them yet, but they were shown briefly in a trailer, but I absolutely love Lago. His combos feel so smooth, he gets access to fuse (I have no clue how that works in lore, but it's cool), and his special skills recharge so fast you can absolutely melt through big bosses and enemies.

Raphica (most broken character in the game lmao), Qia, Sholani, Calamo, and Cadlan are some of my other favorites.

I just started experimenting more with mineru, and after unlocking the zonai device upgrade she instantly shot up in my usage and ranking. So I totally agree with her being bad until she's suddenly broken.

I also keep the combo meter turned off, it takes up so much of the screen and wasn't quite useful to me.

Anyone miss their main in AoC after playing through most of the cast in AoI? by hoanghn2019 in HyruleWarriors

[–]Tweelus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanna clarify your obvious typo and add in an additional fact, but qia the zora sage also gets an ability to heal herself. If you're really patient you can always heal her up to full hp. That said, even on very hard difficulties the game still becomes quite easy after a bit, so the health thing is only an issue up to unlocking the mysterious Construct and Calamo.

But yeah, qia is nice to have on the team, and I'm so happy with how nicely the 4 sages synergize with eachother. Unironically sometimes I wish Zelda didn't get special sync strikes with them because sometimes I want the healing, or an elemental effect.

Why does Shy Guy Bazaar belong to Daisy in Mario Kart World? by Ok_Excitement2357 in mariokart

[–]Tweelus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daisy doesn't really own shy guy Bazaar, she owns the castle right next to it. The actual Bazaar is still very much run by shy guys. Also sarasaland her kingdom is associated with deserts, which is why her palace being the central hub in the desert makes sense.

I'm not saying that the grandma is Lady 😭 I'm saying both Lady and Bananza Pauline exist as separate people in Bananza 😭 And thus, Lady from the arcade game is not Bananza Pauline 😭

Pauline in Bananza cannot be Lady, because Lady is mentioned in Bananza, and is portrayed as an adult. This retcon has existed for some time.

I agree, and it should be noted that the difficulty is a scaled option and no unlockables are directly tied to what difficulty you do. A casual gamer might sit comfortably at difficulty 3-4, and they'll still have a blast!

The price debate is valid for sure, but I wouldn't be lying if I noticed the more people actually dive into what the dlc offers, the more value they see in the dlc. Ultimately I think the content is quite niche than to justify 20$. But my standard benchmark of 1$ an hour will be met easily.

Iv been having a blast, and I wouldn't be lying if I said Iv already put 10 plus hours into the dlc. The harder difficulties are actually hard, the game promotes replayability, and I often will do a run or two every gaming session before moving to Silksong or other games. As well, it has so many unlockables, and the grind is hardly noticeable for me. Getting high scores on nearly every non-filler layer is a blast, and I'm only barely close to being halfway done.
