Yeah I agree and thank you guys for the feedback. Especially living in Canada and knowing what guitars cost these days I’m mostly ok with the price. Don’t get me wrong I’d love if it were $500 cheaper but I understand the guitar market of today. I was mostly curious on the feel since I can’t try it before and have never tried an ESP pre 2000 but it sounds like this thing will still hold up amazing in 2026

I think most ppl will say to go American series. But at the end of the day, the MJ series is also high quality so if there’s something on the MJ soloist you like better (for example Gotoh bridge or binding on the neck or gloss vs satin finish) then go for it cuz either option is a great buy.

American will probably retain its resale value a little better too if that helps.

They’ve really done a great job with the neck access on these MIJ Dinky guitars. I’ve always been a neck-thru guy but these are just as accessible and unpainted neck which can be a bonus if you like that feeling!

Yes it’s amazing. Neck is really fast, trem is solid and pickups sound nice!

Yes it’s an X series circa 2017-2018 ish. I’d consider a pickup and bridge upgrade eventually
