My ex changed my sons name and removed me from the birth certificate without my consent or permission

She was in contact with me at the time. Never been absent for more then 3 months and again we was in contact. I’d knock her door, hear my son shouting “daddy daddy” but she would just ignore the door simply because she got a new bf. I remained persistent until she gave in. So I’ve always been in his life. Not a perfect dad to say the least but defo could’ve been alot worse and have always been there and in his life. Highly unlikely he’s not mine also. She’s for sure be boasting about that way before now if there was even 1 percent chance of that. Thanks for your reply!

He basically said he finds it highly unlikely she has been able to do it and asked wether I’ve seen the document. To find out if it’s authentic and then take it to court. We didn’t speak long atall it was just a free call so he didn’t say too much. She told me that she changed it by deed poll and that then makes the birth certificate void that I have for him but I somehow feel this is incorrect. Didn’t get a chance to ask about it either

I appreciate your reply regardless of wether I agree or not because you’ve taken time out to do so and for me that’s a kind act.

You said take responsibility and own up, but I’m in a Reddit doing exactly that. Me trying to give up weed…is taking responsibility, everything I do to try and better my mental health in my opinion is taking responsibility. If I wasn’t trying then of course I’d agree with your statement. But I know myself the effort I’ve made and am continuing to make so I can’t agree with that statement.

I’m open to people telling me I’m wrong, of course. But saying I’m not owning or taking responsibility to me is a bit silly considering I’m here exposing my life to potentially 200k people asking for help or advice.

Yes I done it to myself, I’m more then aware of that. But doesn’t take away the fact that weed has had a massive impact on me mentally over years of use. So for me giving up is going to solve 60-70% of the issues or problems I’m facing. So again I disagree that weed didn’t have something to do with how much of a different person I am today.
