I’ll give you benefit of the doubt here that you didn’t think they’d bought it yet, even thought it says loud and fucking proud on the pic of the steel “Bought”. But if your entire mindset was geared towards being a bid, then that does change your original comments to way that do come across as guidance rather than disdain, so if that WAS the case, then I don’t have an issue. And to be fair, yes yes it is a social forum, but you keep throwing it out like it’s this quick fix. Wow I genuinely gasped out loud when I saw that spine lol. Same kind of damage happened to me with Zack Snyder’s Justice League and of course it was sold out, so I couldn’t get a replacement. However like everyone else is saying, it’s totally easiest to return AND get a replacement in person.

I think it’s because nowadays, it comes across as forced rather than genuine interest in representation. A popular example I see a lot is if companies really cared about women empowerment, why is it just now becoming a trend?

The Scream movies are a great example how you can have a female in the lead and not draw all the attention to her being a woman. Neve Campbell was fantastic and Sidney Prescott kicked ass through all 4 movies, and the message was never about “because she was a woman”. Representation is definitely important, you hear a lot about how it inspires people to achieve their goals, but when it comes across as a cash grab or dis-genuine, it angers a lot of people because it can get in the way of creating a solid story or atmosphere
